I took one of your tips and had purchased a box cake and instant pudding. It turned out great! The bread held its shape and didn't crumble under the 4 layers. The pudding gave it stability, plus I couldn't taste the chemicals. I've tried many recipes from scratch and the box with adding an egg and sour cream, etc. But your tip had done the trick. Thank you.

Your’s was one of the best inexpensive DYI wedding cake videos I’ve watched. The cake is beautiful. Hearing your new baby in the background was so sweet and seeing your doggo eyeing the cake with hope gave your video two thumbs up! Thanks for posting!

I love watching DIY videos for budget weddings I just DIY journal I’ve been waiting on watching a lot of turning grocery store cakes into wedding cakes and honestly I think this is the most stunning makeover I’ve seen so far. Put someone on a super tight budget he couldn’t even afford $50. A cake that looks that good for $30 is absolutely amazing.😲😊

Please use rods to support your cake! I accidentally edited out that part of the video but you can see me put the rods in on my cooking pg on ig @instagram.com/cookingwithqueenii/ Also as the tile states this is done with a budget you can definitely buy more items to make it your own =) the point of the video was to stay at $30 =) Also pre made frosting has come a long way! I usually hate the taste of it, I had tried this frosting ( this brand) before and I actually was not offended by it. I do remember how premade frosting tasted years ago but they have since improved ( not sponsored by this company) My kids, husband and friends all enjoyed the cake and there was no complaints. Again the whole point of the video was to stay in budget and to make this as easy as possible. I made my own wedding cake years ago with home made everything except for the fondant. Would you guys like for me to share one pics on here?

I thought the same thing. I have always baked cakes but was never good at decorating. So what i did was every-time I made a cake or pie I would practice by decorating it. Whether it was a cake, pie, or cookie I practiced. Thats how i got better. Now i have a batch of practice buttercream I keep in fridge and use it to practice my piping skills on parchment paper. Once I'm done i just seal it in a ziplock and keep in refrigerator and reuse it every time I want to practice.

This cake is beautiful!!! I love Your ideas with draping fabric(fondant) like a Greek Fabric and the gold. This cake was and is WONDERFUL!!! I don’t know if this will help or work in any future fondant works but I have seen Other Cake Decorators use a spritz bottle of warm water to lessen the cracking. I am not a cake decorator but I have seen on Other programs with Professional Cake Decorators on them. My Sister also Decorates Cakes for a living. Oh and I am sure that You May already know this time tip of making a simple syrup from water and sugar and if You want Your favorite flavoring, is. vanilla, a berry extract, lemon extract, orange extract,.... etc. spritz the simple syrup on your cakes in between each layer to keep them moister. Your Cakes probably stay moist from the puddings added though. Your Daughter is going to have The Most Beautiful Birthday Cake/Wedding Cake out of All of Her Friends. I just wanted to let You know that Your Cake came out very beautiful!!!

When dealing with fondant and when dries, add a lil shortening (crisco not liquid, the white stuff) to mix in your fondant. It will help but don't add to much and knead it together and it will eliminate the cracking. Beautiful work sis!

Hi I came across your channel and I am impressed with this wedding cake for only $30 of store bought cake items. My questions are: 1. So cake boxes you didn't use any extra egg, sub the water to milk or do any other hacks like the other baker does? 2. Did your cake stay moist from in and out of the fridge? 3. I know the store bought frosting are a bit more sweet did u add anything to it?

Quick question: There is a difference between the weights of the chocolate pudding mix and the vanilla pudding cake; does that make any difference? Also, what is the weight of the cake mix box?
