You know you're actually really good at teaching and that's really helpful for someone trying to figure something like this out. You're really good at breaking it down and showing how it goes first works really well too. I think you're a great teacher. That's all

Hey drummers,! Just wanted to say that this is my most popular video in terms of views, but by no means my best. Please check out my latest content as this is a very early video and I have been posting a new lesson every week and trying to develop the videos to make them the best that I can. Hopefully you will find some other cool beats and fills to enjoy. Cheers for watching. Alex 😄

Played slow at the beginning, it almost sounds like the opening drum riff to The Go-Go’s song “Get up and go”. That’s a crazy drum beat. Gina Shock is one hell of a drummer

After spending a gorgeous Bank Holiday Sunday locked away in the garage learning this beat, I spent the morning of Bank Holiday Monday trying to 'unlearn' it as I'd written it down incorrectly! I then spent another hour 're-learning' the correct version and I've finally got it down in terms of toms & kick pedal. However, as soon as I try to incorporate the hi-hat on the left foot, it all goes pear-shaped. Any tips? Ta... PS Really enjoy your lessons and your teaching style.

Hello dude, sorry for the late reply.... Christmas n that... I would suggest playing a basic beat on the ride cymbal or floor tom and getting your left foot to copy your right hand, while playing some simple kick drum and snare patterns. This should help you get a feel for separating your feet and start helping you develop independence between them. Hope it helps, I will do a vid on it soon. Alex
