Yes we are planning on building a dedicated putter testing center by spring and will have a will be able to test with much more accuracy. Stay tuned as will run the same test the White Hot and mallets in the next few weeks. My hypothesis is we won't see as much difference but will be fun to find out!

Can you do the white hot version as well? Odyssey is claiming 21% closer with the AI One and only 7% closer to the hole with the AI One Milled. That seems like a big difference. Have you guys seen that as well in testing?

Very good testing procedure! Do many golfers really hit .5” offcenter that often? I’m not sure I would like this putter as I intentionally hit towards the toe on steeper downhill putts to have less force applied to the ball rather than changing stroke length.

Really cool test, and I have to say really impressive from Odyssey. I wonder what the difference in distance dispersion would be from a mallet to the AI one eleven mallet. We know that mallets are better on off center hits, would the results be as impressive as the blade test??

Ai milled putter states that your putts will end up 10% closer compared to other milled but odyssey website say that the Ai urethane will ens up 21% closer. Thats a big difference can you compare the two?

I Don’t like how you didn’t show the video clips of the ai putter striking the ball off the toe and heel. The first putt off the toe from the ai one didn’t appear to be as far off the toe as the other putter

I think it's a good test, but I think this is one of those things where the difference, pragmatically speaking and statistically speaking, isn't really much to be concerned about. Does anyone know the headweight and MOI of both the AI and NP2 putters?

Nevermind, I found it after lots of searching: The Special Select Newport 2 comes typically around 340g, the Odyssey AI One putter starts around 360g. I looked up a reference of MOI Putters from GolfWorks, and taking the same dimensions from 340g to 360g increased the MOI of a particular design by 2 oz-in^2 (41 - 43).

You need to test the ai putter against an Evenrol or similar putter which attempts the same thing without the buzzword of ai. You're testing against the worst case putter, not the real competition. If it's still markedly better then I might be impressed.
