Solitary trees are sometimes a remnant of an old hedgerow. When smaller fields were combined to make a large field suitable for combine harvesters etc, it was too much effort to cut down large trees which were part of the hedge.

I do hope you'll continue doing this through the winter - which may also mean calculating your PW for waterproofs, if you don't already own them. I think I'd have a second column on top of mine. If I could afford one, it's probably cost-effective to get a second made at the same time.

A big steaming cup of tea would sit atop my I own personal column of victory. I'm already trying to work out how I could simulate the tea vapour aside from actually, endlessly stewing a large vat of tea. Maybe a tap at the base for sampling a cuppa. I've already over thought this. An enjoyable video.
