Only just catching up on these, i am now officially part of the cool dudes walking club as i recently had a walk to our local woods, cooked some food and everything! Great vid Marek.

A decent circular walk. Handy that you cam get there from the train. Zig-zag paths seem like a terrible idea. No surprise they don't appear to have caught on. I've never seen a badger in the wild so that's a really impressive encounter! I look forward to future videos and catchphrases. All the best!

I remember a couple of years ago going up that zigzag path with my then 1 year old in a buggy, not the best idea. I think sadly the Selbourne Arms is now closed (if it is the one I am thinking of), but Gilbert White's house is worth a visit and has a good cafe that I think you can get into without paying to get into the main house so could serve as an alternative lunch spot. I know how you feel with the wet wet wet songs, I once put a new slate roof on a barn and I had 'Gangnam Stlye' by Psy stuck in my head for pretty much most of it; one method to expunge it that I have heard is to drink a drink through a very narrow straw and concentrate on doing this, I think the idea is that it focuses the mind away.

Selborne Arms is still open , the Queen's Hotel is closed - that one is right opposite Gilbert White's house 'The Wakes'

SWMBO and I have been able to carry out many walks in the Alton area - also, I love your equipment reviews. I remember watching your IoW circular walk video - Keep up the good work, may be we'll bump into each other one day. the plant you ask about is the post-flowering stage of Rape oil seed. Used in food colouring and flavouring. You must be a quiet walker to disturb a badger like that. Well spotted.

Fewer people = better walk. But the two Marek's represent how busy it was out of five Marek's. So quite quiet apart from the bit with all the schoolkids.

Yes my brother has confirmed it is oil seed rape but after the yellow flowers have fallen off.
