I think it’s for a niche group that lives in a really warm climate year-round. Because regardless of durability, no one will want to be watching TV in -22 weather when you could do the same, inside, where it’s warm. Otherwise it would be a very pricey “Summer-only” luxury and I don’t think the average household will want that over any other number of seasonal devices/activities. You’d get more value out of a pool, because that’s not something you already have inside.
