Loved to hear you say the US is a great country. A guy I work with is Albanian. He said the same thing. He said in Europe your hands are tied. Too many people to pay off. His cousin came to the US. Bought a truck and some equipment and bingo he was in business doing contracting. Like you said. If you’re not afraid to work the sky is the limit.

You are correct sir! This most likely won't happen with sweat fittings. Copper sweat joints are very strong and long lasting. Another advantage of sweat fittings is that you can change them easily, propress cannot be salvaged or modified later, just toss them in my scrap bucket and install ugly couplings 😢. (Couplings make it look like mistakes were made by a hack.) Great channel, keep up your good work and funny videos!! 😂

I've never trusted Pro Press fittings, and I've done a lot of them. Maybe those didn't get pressed or maybe the gun needed to be recalibrated. We always marked each joint with a marker with an "X" after it was pressed. That way we could walk the line down and check that none were missed.

Press fitting are terrible in any state where there is climate change. They are only good in states where it gets only hot and hotter. Florida and states like that. My guess would be the heat trace failed, loss of power best guess, and the force of the ice spread the fitting. Was on a job similar, lost power to the building over the weekend, froze the hydronic heating system, building management didn't want to pay for glycol so it was all water, the piping was sch 40 steel, grooved for victalic, the ice peeled the groove off. It was pretty impressive

Could have been fixed easier and faster with a sharkbite. Interesting I just got an advertisement for Shark Bite Max before I watched this video. Higher burst pressure and easier insertion. If this had a sharkbite on it everyone would have blamed it on the fitting. Nobody will be saying I told you Pro Press is no good.
