A couple of questions. Are ball valves code and gate valves not, or were the gate valves failing? Why different placement of the 2 new valves and one with drain? What was the 2nd brass piece in the pipe in the back?

Its not just in NYC that ppl do that. We build a particualr chain if convience stires among our other contracts doing the Food svc equipment and their Misc contract (all the stuff ither trades dont want to touch but requires a fair ammount of exp doing like all the signage, hanging shelves and such). We have this one superintendent of one construction company that thinks the way to get things done is to throw MASSIVE ammounts of bodies at it and will schedule us to be on site when EVERY single other trade is on site. We are trying to install soda fountains and pressure washer system when the plumbers havent even put in lines for us to connect to, not to mention guys are all the time stealing our ladders thinking they are theirs bc they cantbseem to read our companies markongs on them. Yeah, this guys is a former Army 1st Sgt and thinks things can only get done by having everyone there at thebsame time. Last job we di, I outright told him it took us 4 days longer on that job BC we were having to jumpnaround and push other trades out of our way. Not to mention he wont let anyone park on the job site and actually wanted me to park arcoss a 4 lane highway and carry my tools and lifts across it. Long story short, I told him his was one of over half a dozen stores we were doing and unless we can park on site, we leave until we can, even if that not until the store is turned over, oh wait, he cant turn it over until were done. Yeah, he let up on it and stopped scheduling us b4 other trades were ready for us.

The tool is call a spud wrench. You should buy one. Also the back end of a crescent wrench will also fit. The inside of the spud has stop and you turn it with those. 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️
