My Chemical Romance is my favorite band and you're one of my idols on drums (of course after Ringo Starr and John Bonham), and I liked a lot who were doing a vedeo of my favorite band. Like any other person who knows and loves MCR note that some things do not go with the song, and a drummer as I notice more, but that is understandable because every musician has his playing. I am pleased to know someone so well known of the existence of a band disintegrated and who once was famous but not much to say. Keep doing music because you can tell that's what you love :D

I'm a huge fan of yours, You're one of my best inspirations, I'm still a beginner however I dream of drumming as great as you do. This is amazing cover as well. I recently bought only a snare as I couldn't afford the whole set and its actually pretty useless to buy a kit this early on as I am only focusing on rudiments for time being. But later on, if I plan on buying a kit which one do you suggest? I like metal, Prog rock, Psychedelic rock, etc.

I think the reason the snare sounds off is because he had to lower the pitch for the toms to sound lower like in the song, but I don’t know about the background snare.

So sorry but I need to complain a bit :) Your snare sounds like a floor tom with a snare strands on it. Terribly boomy and bassy... not a cool snare sound. And both floor toms are practically the same sounding. Either it's the kit (and tuning of individual drums) that sounds terrible or then it's the mics and mixing.

This was great man! I had some thoughts you can scrap or consider, either way it's cool! This was a very 21st century marching band approach to this song. Granted, it's going for a marching band sound, but I think for all the sections that focus more on percussion rather than just drum set, a traditional march style like something you'd hear from Sousa or Holst would be a little more suiting stylistically. The drum set part is so articulate that having a more orchestral style for the percussion would really help each part speak between the kit and concert/marching snare whatever you were to choose. Also listen closely to the crash cymbals in the recording. They're so crisp and shimmery. If you don't want to use orchestral crash cymbals which is what mcr uses, think more legato strokes for those crashes, they'll really come out in the texture, which will overall add to your whole sound. Just some thoughts though man. I love your videos!

It's funny how this song is at 97 BPM, but in Marching Bands while playing at Parades they march (usually) 120 BPM.
