A police officer’s bodycam shows the moment when a suspect pulled a gun on her. The video shows Officer Brianna Tedesco walking down a dark road to check out a suspicious vehicle with out-of-state license plates. She questions the man behind the wheel, who claimed to be taking a nap. When Tedesco asks him to produce a driver’s license, he tells her that he doesn’t have one. What officer didn’t know at the time was that the man is a fugitive and wanted for murder. #InsideEdition

Yeah, no kidding. As he was running up, I was thinking the only option he really had was to shoot the fugitive ASAP! He had to be immediately disabled. If the fugitive dies, it's on him. But whether-or-not the officer's bullet kills him should have been the furthest thing from the officer's mind at that moment. Going on deployments in the Navy probably saved me from quite a few stops and working from home during covid has been a lifesaver. What kills me is that this is what so many people want all police encounters to be like, the police completely at the mercy of whoever they encounter. They have such a hard job yet so many people seem to think they just eat donuts and oppress people all day. Makes me sick.

Congratulations. Pretty sure you would freeze with no idea what to do. It’s a life or death situation. This officer made the brave split-second decision to hold the gun, and that saved her life. If she ran for cover the guy would only have to put the gun out of the window and shoot her, instantly.

This is how police actually work, her partner was not even called to the scene, he originally heard it over the radio and thought something sounded suspicious when the name didn’t come back to the driver he than went to the location to see if she needed back up, that’s when he pulled up. She never had time to radio for back up. It was sure instinct. God bless him!
