Kenneth Moore The 345 V8 is the motor that was manufactured with. They had a 392 V8 but they put them in the bigger trucks. The school I worked had had a 67 carryall that had the 345 and a 30 passenger bus had the 392. Both were good engines.

I owned a 72 IH Scout II probably with that same V8. Back in those days IH would promote the fact that their engines were built to be re-built over and over again. Sleeves in the cylinders, press out and in valve guides and seats. And on and on. I have no idea if you can still get any of those parts from IH.
@johnlameelk53394 жыл бұрын
Sure you can. AutoZone can order them. I had a '64IH bread truck with a six in it. The mechanic parts were available for all those old motors. But, some body /much was hard to find. (I had to settle for a used steering gearbox because nobody I could find still had or made those old "rag bag" types.) The side windows, being flat glass, are no problem. The body looks to be in good shape, with minimal damage or rust. (Check the frame for rust through areas, though Weird Beard can likely patch anything that needs it.) That rig is over a half century old, and they are becoming scarce. I say buy it while you can.
@wilcalint4 жыл бұрын
@@johnlameelk5339 That was a great V8. It was an IH design connected to a Chrysler Torqueflight transmission. I replaced the mechnical points distributor with an electronic ignition and that made it gold.

The 2012 Challenger RT HEMI is too good a deal to miss. Mike (Weird Beard) could line up the crashbar mountings in a couple of hours, and it would need substantial paintwork, but this is a great car and will resell at a good price as Spring arrives. Great KZbin content too! The Lexus 'Critter Car' looks like a worthwhile curio if you can pick it up for scrap value ($250?) although finding good interior parts for this oldie wouldn't be easy.

The international would be a fun toy to play with. Worst case you can sell it to another collector. I would pick up the challenger it would make great content fixing. You can always park it on the back burner for when you find time. Durring that you can hunt down the pieces needed. @DaddytechEnt4 жыл бұрын
*The Noise on that acura sounds like a heat shield that's pushed up into one of the pulleys and it's rubbing on it . the misfire is probably simply a bad coil. the fact that the car has 200K on it means you would have to get it for around $800.00 to make any money on it at all. That challenger if it went for the right price would be perfect to repair same with that 2011 dodge truck it's worth what they are asking IF you can kill the smell trade in is around $7,000.00 for the shape it's in and for the mileage still so there was a little meat left on the bone there once you run your ozone machine through it. If you passed that up you lost out. they are great trucks and they pull really well too that thing except for the high mileage is just like the 2019 i had 4x4 and all. of course again you put tires on it and straightened the dents and scrapes out on it you would have in it what the value of the truck actually is trade in value any way. that's what i go by because to me the vehicle is only worth what a dealer would give you for it if you were trading it in*
