Goodold Ct90 accord coupes go for insane amounts of money at auction
@froylandiaz48464 жыл бұрын
Those accord coupes are great cars! We purchased one with 150k miles. Was basically the family car for a few years. No maintenance was done to it probably a few oil changes every year. Towards the end of its life it had around 350k miles it had transmission problems since we’ve never serviced the transmission, leaky valve cover gaskets. And my sister on her way home from work got rear ended 60 mph by a 15 year old with no license. Car was unrecognizable from the rear but she still started afterwards. Miss that car. Body held up pretty well while having it for four years.

21:46 The Explorers are notorious of having leaky thermostat housings, I bought one a few months ago, and replaced it and it fixed the coolant issue!
@mortonfamily86094 жыл бұрын
Yep. Done it twice myself. They make a metal one for a good price now. Use a motorcraft thermostat and should last a good while.
Pt cruiser needs a water pump and timing belt. Also if you cycle the key three times fast it will run a self diagnostic that will show codes on the dash. Temp gauge won't read without water running over it. Also no heat from no coolant.

I love the PTs, too. I can understand why some people hate them, they are cool cars and in my opinion, look a while lot nicer than the HHRs. I'd love to have a turbo with a manual transmission, myself.

I would LOVE to have a Corsica again. It was such a great car. It was cheap. It was reliable. It was good on gas. It had decent power with that 3100 V6. Would've kept it longer but the radiator gave out two days before I had to move and all my money was invested in the move. Also, you can jump that Prius under the hood. There is a positive terminal jump point in the fuse box panel under the hood.

I really loved that 1st Prius and the PT, even though the PT did seem to be a bit of a risk, it looked very nice and might be worth taking a chance on. I'm with you on the Honda Accord, it seemed to run great and a new paint job would do wonders for it. By the way, that Corsica was a treat. She seems like a tough old girl to start without a jump and drive after that. Also, the alternator on it looked brand new- someone really tried to take care of that old car. It's such a shame it was wrecked so severely like that. Thank you very much Randy for continuing to do these walk-arounds despite all the Coronavirus craziness that is going on. Best luck to you and your family. I hope you guys all continue to stay safe.

Jump starting a Prius- The driver side fuse box under the hood. Pop that open. There will be a jump point under a red cover. Find a ground or look towards the motor and you will see a stud for you to ground.
@gregisdivorced4 жыл бұрын
I don’t know if you’ll read this post but in the Prius the jump points under the hood are under the cover on the fuse box ground the negative on the block and the Positive is clearly marked not need to go in the trunk. Believe me I’ve jumped hundreds of Prius’s at the auction.

Omg! A Corsica! My dad and I bought 7 or 8 of these over a 4yr period from the government at GSA auctions. They were great cars ......back then! Lol! We never lost money on them either. When you get the red triangle of death in a Prius you disconnect the 12v battery for 5 minutes then hook it back up and start the car. The warning light should go out and the car will drive. I have done roadside assistance for years and have seen it about 100 times.

The PT couldn't have a problem with the TIPM - 1st gen (05 back) didn't use them. It didn't heat up or move the temp gauge because no coolant. Most likely, the cooling fan failed, it overheated and blew out the coolant. The cap is missing from the expansion tank.

Would definitely stay away from the Prius’s. With the electronic/engine issues there won’t be much room to make a profit with the mileage on them/work needed. Definitely would stay away from the Chrysler. For 93,000miles it doesn’t look/sound very well taken care of. As for the cobalt and the accord, If you could get them cheap enough, I’d go for them. They both appear to need minimal work and when done, you could sell both of those easily for a decent profit. Good video
