From what I saw under the Nissan Altima it looks like what it ran over deflected off of the sub frame up into the exhaust and smashed the cats out.

I have a 2019 Nissan Altima, I paid $32000.00 for mine!! You got a steal there. They get amazing furl economy on the interstate, Well over 30mpg. The only weakness is the CVT transmission but if you change the fluid before 50,000 miles you should have no problems

I have a 2012 Altima with 180k bought it brand new and I know a lot of people had problems with the cvt trans..but ive never had any problems with mine I’ve always change my trans fluid every 40k it’s been super reliable to me I put some 18 inch Nissan maxima wheels and looks very sporty …I figured keeping with maintenance on it I’ll never have mayor issues

Randy the Altima yes the sub-frame got bent but there is also either Oklahoma "dust" or red bring scuffs underneath, Also at the back of the engine I saw a bunch of blue dots, I am not sure if your are manufacture marks or insurance adjuster marks as that one AC pipe looked a tab twisted. That Ford Truck was over the top, even if it just needed an engine.

Both the Nissan and the Ford truck at the end is worth the risk. Ford truck if you know a person that can do an engine swap if it is a blown engine can easily be win win in the long run. Most likely someone might over pay for it if you put it back in the auction with a running engine. Also could be a great daily for you too

That Altima looks really nice, but... Isn't there some kind of damage to the transmission or the bottom end of the engine right infront of that dent on the subframe? It looks like there are some missing bits and a crack. Not really sure, but it seems like it. Maybe nothing to be concerned about, and the exhaust, well... you always end up installing louder exhausts on your cars... 🤣 It looks like someone took the cats off? 🤔

A friend of mine was racing and thru the car in reverse and broke the drive shaft so this may be the case with this car. The car he was driving was a 74 Pontiac Lemans when he did this. Maybe they did it by mistake. From the looks of the drive shaft I think it was thrown in the oposite gear as the Lemans drive shatt look the same as the one you showed.

Nissan makes the worlds worst transmissions they last 25 k and then replaced. Great engines but even nissan techs told me not to buy one when i was looking for a used car
