Maybe rant: Kinda glad I've started switching to linux, I'm just annoyed with win10 on my very old pc doing pretty much nothing as reliable for what I like to do, being slow and having unwanted updates and prompts like the "try win11" popup when I just barely sign in. And I don't even wanna mess with trying win 11 with it's extra annoying/unwanted features, when I've had a tricky time configuring win10 to remove or hide different things. I'm still not having the easiest time with linux for games and whatnot, but if I'm going to spend time configuring and messing with an os I'm going to use an os that actually works on my pc and that's meant to be configured and not having niche non-important features stuffed in. Like even in kde plasma I haven't felt implied to adjust things for performance or to hide things because the os doesn't take forever to do things like open normal apps and is smooth on the desktop page unlike windows, and doesn't have random stuff installed to annoy me.
