something that helps me with my depression and anxiety is the concept of “Just Showing Up”. sometimes I wake up in the morning, having already decided that today will be a bad day, but I force myself to leave the house anyway (exposure therapy works WONDERS for many with anxiety and depression who have difficulty leaving the house!!). you might not even have a great time hanging out with friends, or going to class/work, or doing errands, or whatever, but at least you showed up! at least you got out of bed! you don’t have to put on makeup or a cute outfit (for me I just do skincare cause routine helps me, and I’ll leave the house in leggings and a hoodie on my bad days), just show up and see that there’s a big world out there beyond just what youre feeling! also I think it’s healthy to have days where you can just feel it all and mope around (unless of course you know it will trigger you to just sit alone for a while).

This is really good advice. It’s absurd and unrealistic to think you will feel positive all the time. I am not always motivated when I do something productive. I think it’s important to acknowledge that you have to do things even if you aren’t motivated.

us empaths can feel depressed because we are ultimately feeling the collective energy of humanity on earth. just rememeber that we don't own emotions! they are vibrations that we all feel, which come and go. focus on alchemizing and transmuting these vibratons! loving you so much siStar, I tried my best to express into words how I cope with my emotions when they feel stagnant! full moon and new moon rituals with close sisters are powerful and has helped me! 😘

Fajr Williams, in my opinion it's better to be an introverted empath, cause you will take up bad vibrations from less people. Plus you NEED time for yourself if you're an introvert, and it's really handy if you're empathetic, cause you can just clean all the vibrations from other people that are not yours, and just rest from all the energies outside your bubble. Have a lovely day y'all

Has anyone listened to Louise Hay? She basically invented affirmations and changing deeply rooted negative thoughts into positive ones and loving yourself. She's been so life changing for me who struggles deeply with depression / negative thoughts. She has her book, You Can Heal Your Life on KZbin as well as guided meditations and hour long videos of just positive affirmations to attract that vibration. Even if you don't really believe this things to be true, you are planting seeds in the garden of your mind and with watering and love, they will grow and flourish 🌸✨💗

One thing I’ve learned about depression is YOURE NOT ALONE. Going through depression first hand I always felt I was alone. I finally opened up about it to select friends and family and it has helped A LOT. I’m lucky enough to have friends and family that are understanding and help you instead of brushing it off and telling you to get over it. If you don’t have that, SEE A THERAPIST. YOU DONT HAVE TO GO THROUGH IT ALONE. I promise, it’ll get better. I love you.

So so so crucial to talk about vocalizing how you feel and the importance of tone! I know especially for myself, in my frustration I would voice how I felt in an offensive tone instead of meeting someone with love. Major self-check that was needed and that isn't talked about enough, I love that you brought it up ! frustration is valid but is sooo good at clouding up communication

Bruce Lee once said, "don't pray for an easy life, pray for strength for a hard life". I'm moody and sensitive AF. Life is about acceptance and it's a cycle, the glass is ALWAYS half full, NEVER half empty. Negativity is like a magnet, more you dwell on bad things, the more bad things are going to come or happen. Be kind to one another, when was the last time you held a door open for someone? Or truly thanked someone for holding that door for you? It's all about the mind set, simple little things about being genuine. Being genuinely kind and nice will make your life happier. We all live in a effed up world, we are all fighting our own battles. But, if you focus on that 1 good thing that happened in your day, you will be a better person and belive in that. There are forces of good and evil battling everyday, which side are YOU on? Life is a cycle, we come into life with nothing, we leave with nothing accept that. What brought us the greatest happiness, will give you the greatest sadness. Accept and be happy the person who has left this life is going to someplace better because, there's no need to struggle anymore and hope you will meet them again. Don't ask why, this and that, what ever is going to happen, WILL happen, It's your next move that matters the most. We are a product of our environment, whether it's home, friends, neighborhood, relationships, good or bad. But the great thing is that we can CHANGE that. Your mind is the most powerful thing on earth, you can almost manifest anything. You don't need to go someplace exotic, beautiful or far to be happy, inner peace is the ultimate happiness. Work is work and stop swearing so much in general, it's negative, but helps to vent. They say do an act of kindness eveyday. Why not be kind in every aspect of your life? And if you need to tell someone about it or high light it, then it wasn't real. Be kind and nice...

i went through this brief period where I genuinely felt like people were after me. If I have an confrontation with someone, especially women. There was never this feeling of wanting to be liked by everyone but at the same time i would’ve rather either been liked by others or have them feel neutral towards me. It was hard being assertive in an environment that you’ve never accepted as “normal” for you. Anger is real, so is fear. But it’s not something that I marinate myself in. I don’t try to avoid it, but it’s so rare that I feel it where when I do, it’s like I can’t pinpoint the root of the anger or utilize the necessary factors that comes with feeling angry. It feels foreign when it first hits. I’ve had my mom tell me “sometimes I think you get angry just because you can.”

I deeply deeply believe that one of the major keys to healing is releasing the past and the labels you've put upon yourself. Having a diagnosis or explanation for what you're going through is VERY important, but only for so long. You have to learn to let go of that after you've accepted it, or you will never allow yourself to believe healing is capable.
