Paul: We had the 3rd hottest place in the world. It was brutal went down to 4th place today. I pray we get off the list altogether. I remember you said you've been to Nova Scotia. So you know we aren't used to that extreme temperature. Watching you turn in your non ferrous made me miss my brother in law who was also a scrapper. We lost him seven months ago. Glad you were able to turn so much in.😊

I always strip my wire. Do you find it not worth the extra time?

If your wire is already worth $1 per pound, and you strip it, and half weight is plastic garbage and the other 1/2 lb is worth $4 per pound, how much have you gained? If you stripped 30 lb of wire an hour, you would only be gaining $15. But I doubt if someone could strip 30 lb of wire in an hour

So many buckets..... Do you ever run wire through a wire-stripper? Don't remember seeing? Know you don't like "microscrapping" but it is an easy way to increase the amount of pure copper 🙂 Maybe some dealer could sponsor with a wire-stripper? We had a big one that some scrappers bought together but it was a dangerous piece of machinery as it pulled the wire through very fast and if you got caught in a loop you where definatively going to a world of pain.

@@ScrapPalletMan always a mix of stuff last time had a good bunch of Christmas lights and they weighed out to be under a pound as the scrap yard I have to deal with doesn't really keep a clear scale most of the time, there is two scrap yards near me and only one allows people to walk in to drop stuff off the other goes by the license plate on your vehicle which to me is not fair as that second seems to offer better prices
