I’ve been using Dr. Pickart’s products since 2004. Last year I tried the NIOD Cais for a change, went through 3 ounces of it but I went back to Dr. Pickart as I find I get much better results with Skin Signals and his Two Timing tightener on top, and it’s cheaper than NIOD. I did keep the SOD mist in my routine, I love it!

Hi guys - other peptides are fine with CP and can boost performance. Just a note though, if you're using CAIS 2 it's best to put that on by itself, or mixed with plain Buffet (not the CP Buffet). The reason for this is CAIS 2 is a measured amount of copper that will leave some GHK peptides free form. If you add more copper peptides to CAIS 2 (eg you add Buffet +CP) you will throw off these free form GHK peptides.

I've been using the Dr Pickard products for a few years now, including the shampoo. I've seen most improvement on my lashes (I apply the CP serum on my face and it obviously gets on my lashes) - and since they started taking orders again over the lockdown, I've started to use the folligen spray on my hair ( 2 weeks now). I haven't seen new hair growth yet, but the hair fall has definitely been reduced. I agree that packaging is very basic and the website is not user friendly at all, but with Dr Pickard, you buy the real stuff from the guy who discovered copper peptide. He'a a chemist, so he's interest lies in the science behind the products rather than offering attractive packaging.

I asked a chemist about her opinion on growth factors and copper peptides. "The only real effect she has seen is improvement in overall skin hydration. Haven’t noticed any deep skin penetration due to the size of the molecules. They are too big. That means they don't really take part in collagen renewal." To me it makes a lot of sense since we still need more evident based studies on peptides and growth factors, but at the same time am wondering if you can provide more insights in this regard too. Thank you!

Not Penny (of course lol) but when I do an evening copper peptide regimen I start with a lactic acid cream or a retinoid, wait one hour then I apply the copper peptide cream on top. Hey Penn, As you mentioned that it also breaks the collagen, maybe that is related to the possible adverse effects copper peptides can give - lots of people write about their anecdotal evidence how they experienced sagging caused by GHU, as probably their skin couldnt keep up making the collagen or something> Also, Even the Pickart himself talks about not overdoing them. What does this all mean? how much is too much? what about these adverse effects? I want to use it but I am so scared to get sagging from it? I wrote the similar comment under yoru newest video on Slowember, maybe when you have time you could address it? Lots of people are worried abiout this. IT even has a name "copper peptide uglies"

My cousin & I call each other & discuss how we will be incorporating the products you have recommended. We thank you. 🌹🌈❤

I found what peptides can do when I tried a lip plumper on my 74 year old face wrinkles. I was shocked. It took wrinkles away. So I looked for peptides meant for wrinkles & found THE ORDINARY product discussed here. NO RESULTS AT ALL. I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED!!! 1% is not enough!!!

i’m in barber school and i’m more knowledgeable than all the aestheticians in my school who just want to do lashes lol. i used to work at a med spa as well so i’m all about holistic treatments for overall health. i love getting the most out of topicals which work in conjunction with more clinical treatments (lasers, peels).

I may be wrong but as far as I know copper peptides have been shown to promote collagen only in laboratory cell dish. Have there been studied made and adequately tested on skin?

Hello to you all, I use niacinamide and retin a every night and I don’t want to stop and aha and vitamin c in the morning. What about copper peptides can I use them with my retin a or in the morning with my other serums?

Okay, so TONS of gratitude to you for doing this. I have not knowingly gotten on the copper bandwagon. But my issue is that I use Curology which has tret, tranexamic acid, and niacinamide plus a CoQ serum at night and 20% Vit C in the day with a Matryxil serum. Where/how/when would I slip the copper in?
@janedelaney43274 жыл бұрын
Lorna Oyarce You would have to alternate nights with the Curology. I used to use Curology and went back to Tret - better results for me. I use retin A 4-5 nights a week and use Copper Peptides 2 or 3. Has been working great - my skin doctor even asked what I had been using.

A dermatologist I follow said too much copper peptides can actually make the skin literally sag in one of the studies. She recommends just using HALF the recommended usage. For example, if the manufacturer recommends application on both morning and night, apply to only either morning or night and not both. Thoughts?

Renzokuken was that dr dray?
@Zantetsukens4 жыл бұрын
@@ams70 nope. Dr Dray doesn't believe in peptides. She think they are just expensive humectants. I can't remember who but she is not a well known personality on KZbin.
@ams704 жыл бұрын
Renzokuken Yes I heard her say that she doesn't believe in peptides but she didn't specifically say copper peptides just peptides, and there is a difference I think? Unless I think I will start very slow with the VIP serum, ordered it the other day we shall see…

Carmen Martinez copper peptides improve follicle health and size. I haven’t seen reports of facial hair increasing but I’ll definitely research that before the follow up video 👍🏻💜

Hi there. I am 65 yrs old and female. I was going to get tretinoin and then get a good hydrating moisturizer, but then I stumbled on a site about Dr. Loren Pickard and was intrigued about his discovery of Ghk u. Now I would like to find the correct products for my wrinkles and brown spots. I could send you a photo of my face and neck so maybe you can give me better advice? I was thinking of Ghk VIP Serum, then maybe two timing tighter Dmae serum and finish with a good hydrating moisturizer with niacinamide? Then in am Vit C, Hydrating moisturizer and Sunscreen spf 40. I would really appreciate your expertise. By the way you have a beautiful complexion. 🙂 Thank you, Doreen

Penny, I watched a prior video where you recommended copper peptides and specifically The Ordinary Buffet with Copper Peptides, so I purchased and just received it. I was so happy to view this video which showed what not to use it with. I was using it in the morning after my Vitamin C. I do use Retin A at night, so I will do as you suggest and use the Copper peptides on the nights when I don't use Retin A. Thanks for the info.

Hi Penny! Hope all is well with you! Loving always the work you put out for us! I loved being introduced to these theories about copper peptides. I’m still trying to grasp it all. You know you’re an excellent teacher, for sure, as I always tell you. I do have a question wondering if I bought the correct product for my skin type. Maybe you can help.... I purchased the NIOD but the number 2. Since I have aging wrinkled , dehydrated and dry skin, not at all oily ( maybe a bit on the nose is all) do you think It would benefit me or should I send it back and get the 1st generation. I do have enlarged pores and a scar that I’ve had many laser treatments on to lighten the keloid. Last time, about two months ago, my MD said the keloid didn’t grow back and just gave me some cortisone shots to calm the itch. I hope I’m painting an accurate picture for you and not confusing you. Upon your recommendation I did buy the SOD mist. My skin felt great after but it initially stung ever so little. I use a lot of Avene, Vichy or Caudalie h2o sprays on my skin for daily treatments, eg., I read where it’s advantageous to rinse off miscelar water with these sprays. Also rinse off tap h2o. Oh I also have mild to moderate rosacea ; much much better than when first diagnosed with it in early 30’s , now 68. Oh my gosh! Anyway, sorry to ramble on and on. Thanks for any input you may have. I am a Vit C and A user though in its milder form of A like Avene ‘s vit A whose name escapes me at the moment! So take good care. Be well. Xo, Rachel 🌸💕🌷😊🐶🐱🤔

You were correct in the first place. Your edit was incorrect. Tripeptide-1/GHK does exist as a separate raw material in cosmetics. NIOD intentionally provides 1% GHK-Cu & 1% GHK in CAIS. Dr. Pickart also released a product that contained GHK (clear solution/no copper) about 10-12 years ago, but it was discontinued . I am a biochemist, ran a skincare community for years and have been using copper peptides since 2003. 🥰

Thank you for such detailed information! I’m new to copper peptides and appreciate the guidance. I wanted to add that you can buy pumps from NIOD (they fit the ordinary and hylamide too). I always get one for my ascorbic acid to keep air from getting in and now I’ll use on for CAIS too since you warned about the texture.
