Amy n me, your version of this great sone “copperhead Road” is the best by far I’ve had the pleasure to hear. That’s a lot from me as I’m not into this kind of music? Well, I wasn’t until now! Thank you x happy new year

My Daddy ran moonshine. My grandmother made it. He was real good friend with Johnson that started NASCAR and Daddy raced all his life.

I have a relative that bootlegged moonshine in the 1960s.
@johnlafever31623 жыл бұрын
@@voivodeofwallachia7386 no, in 1948 Junior Johnson was 17 years old and running moonshine for his pops. He was not in attendance at the original meeting. He didn’t start running NASCAR until 1953 which would have been 22 years old and won his first race in ‘55 at 24yo, right before he was busted stoking the fire in his pop’s still in what turned out to be the biggest moonshine bust ever, 400 gallons. But the old man who they were after wasn’t there. He was sleeping. Junior spent one year in prison between the years ‘56 & ‘’57, then came back to drive in NASCAR until 1966, then transitioned to owning championship winning cars for at least the next 20 years.

Finest version of this song I have heard. The alterations were clever, and the music is only lacking the bagpipes that Steve Earl used in his track of the same name. You still sent a chill through my veins slightly with the "Hey" . The pipes are so emotive and ragey that you could only benefit with them or a harmonica
@pjfountaine77553 жыл бұрын
Yeah that would be a nice touch. Or a dulcimer, traditional instrument of hillbilly mountain people

Another nice difference is you can understand the lyrics clearly.

@@lonnieporter8566 Steve sister Stacy records musics . Sadly he doesn't have a twin lol but all the Earles are musicians . Im related to them and whenever we have family reunions at Earles chappel in East Texas there's always alot of music. Steves uncle Arlon was one of the best pianist I've ever heard and he only had 9 fingers. I actually saw Steve last Friday can't remember the last time before that but it had been a few years
