My father was a huge fan of Steve Earle. His music was a huge part of my child hood. He passed away June 13th 2023. He had a ticket to his concert. On July 8th me, my mother and sister attended his concert in Fort Worth, tx. My mother emailed several people from his team. To our surprise they answered back on the day of the concert. Gave us v.i.p. Passes and gave us the opportunity to hangout with Steve for awhile back stage and tell him about my father. Steve is an amazing artist and went out of his way to make our day very special. This in my opinion doubles him as an artist. Thank you once again Steve.

What a great story, I'm really glad for you and your family, it's a memory you'll hold your whole life. I've listened to him for years. Being on the West Coast, I didn't grow up with a lot of his type of music, but I've come to love that group from Austin. I've heard him interviewed a few times, he is really not only smart and level-headed, but also warm-hearted.

First time I heard this song it was when I was living in West Virginia I loved it. I feel it touches the very core of life through the self. Anyone that was ever involved in the moonshine trade the men that drove the cars some of them being stuck car racers later in life to me, it’s a song rich in our country’s history, a tip of the Stetson to Steve Earle. God bless you, sir.❤

@mamabragg Жыл бұрын
Screw that. What he means is push for more gun control.
@jasonchristopher2977 Жыл бұрын
@@mamabragg Well since I'm a fan of his, thinking about the song and lyrics, I'm afraid to say it seems that way. Or maybe he's telling them that parents need to do more and be more like Idk PARENTS since they made a human being who didn't ask to be here, teach them about guns, how to respect guns, how guns are a tool like a hammer and a saw, used correctly tools can save alot of things but used wrongly they can cause alot of bad things to happen. I don't get ppl blaming an object. If a tree falls down on home or car during a storm it's not trees fault. It didn't wait for decades to 1 day finally fall on anything. Too many parents who shouldn't be, need to spend 100% more time at home with kids then at work chasing that dollar, worried about their place in society, and just worry about being there for kids. I grew up with guns everywhere loaded. I was taught from early age not to touch them until I was older. then I was taught all about them. I mean we had kids in Marines in bootcamp who never drove a car, held a gun and we all was safe. Nobody got hurt, shot, etc. We're too busy by design of coarse, having to work and spend all our time in wrong place, with wrong ppl. It's far better to be poor, have nothing but be there for kids. They womt recall how many toys or phones they got, but will recall if mom or dad was around or not.
