I just had an epiphany. Many of these officers are probably juicing. I remember a story about some rookie cop bringing in some stereroid dealer. While in the common area another cop intercepted the rookie and told him to get that guy out of there. The reason was because that guy was supplying that precinct.

1) Agreed the Long Island Audit is GOAT-level 2) I feel that police shouldn't complain about being "baited" as long as they're running any type of "bait" operations (e.g. decoy cars, etc. ) Very hypocritical to say that the general public deserves their fate when baited, yet these "highly trained" cops who "know the law" deserve sympathy, leniency, and ZERO accountability when baited. I'm not a fan of these guys "baiting" the cops with unnecessary actions like walking up with their hands in their pockets, etc. HOWEVER, cops should know better and be held to a HIGHER standard. If these guys' proximity was a danger to you, them why would you repeatedly choose the gap yourself? By that logic, you're putting yourself in more danger than they were. Why should we care about "officer safety" when your own actions show that you don't?

It's been discussed to death back in the day. Thing is though, since then it has splintered into a dozen different sub categories. Each with their own different styles, and unfortunately varying degrees of sincerity of those auditors intentions. I'm with you though, being rude to people and ignoring them is antithetical to the thing auditing is supposed to represent. And it's just being a jerk. I remember back in the day there was a dispute between NNH, and some other channel whose name escapes me but he calls everyone "youngster". NNH said he was being told that the other channel was calling the cops on themselves, and that, that undermines the entire effort. For the same reason purposefully inciting people to call the cops does, it's not a test of anything when it's just stirring up drama for a show. One of the reasons I don't personally even believe in auditing private businesses to begin with, and I know I'm not alone on that because many have spoken up about it. Still an entirely unacceptable police response though and I'm glad the world can see these clowns criminals in action. (walks towards cameraman)"DON'T YOU WALK UP IN MY FACE(continues walking into the face of camera man). If I had a nickel for every time I saw a cop do that, just today alone, I could buy 2 wacky balls and a handful of chicklets.

Sad part was I was young and looked up to these guys (the good guys) and wanted to impress them. Unlike most of the guys on my squad I did have a Criminal Justice degree but that was still little more than the basics. I also went though a coarse called "Verbal Judo" which was a deescalation coarse required by my Criminal Justice Professor to pass his class. My professor was a former city police officer who went on to the DEA, great guy that tought us from his mistakes and or regrets. I only stayed a commissioned officer 3 yrs, just couldn't take the things going on. It accomplishes absolutely nothing to record random people and then rudely sit silent when someone is being civil. Just because the person asking questions is ignorant of your right, doesn't mean they're being rude or disrespectful. Be kind, be civil, EDUCATE politely. If someone is being obnoxious and threatening, then of course just remain silent. Or if an officer is trying to question or give directives, sure, being calm and quiet makes sense. And yeah, the officers were not in the right here at all, they were ignorant, threatening and reckless. And as we can see, even the auditors who remain stone-cold silent, STILL get the cops called on them anyway. Might as well attempt to educate, even if the person asking questions won't understand, your viewers will! 👍

@samslenderman
@samslenderman Жыл бұрын
@@richardbutkis yeah, I understand that POV. There's 2 kinds of people in the world, those who are kind and civil, and those who don't like strangers. I simply fall on the former. And it's not that an explanation is "owed" to anyone, simply that if someone is auditing for the purpose of standing up for civil rights, then a simple educational response goes a long way. Hell, they could even add the "mind your business" part after simply saying "We're just exercising our 1st ammendment, man!" It's not about "owing" someone a response, it's about willfully giving one when they're not being mean and are simply not informed or educated. The goal is about bringing awareness, getting more people (not just cops) to understand basic rights. Not to push people away or further the divide and separation, man.

@@samslenderman it doesn't go a long way. Just watch Amagansett press. He goes through explaining what he's doing and he still gets cops called on him. Or people argue with him. You're a tool to think that anyone with an ego will sit and listen to why recording is protected by the constitution.

@@richardbutkis Loll what a very mature response to someone with a differing opinion. I don't believe everyone will listen or understand our rights, that's naive. But staying optimistic and positive is more logical, regardless. Actually trying. And I've been subscribed to AP channel for years. And his son, watching the Watchmen. And he gets exactly what my point is, that no matter how big of an ego you're dealing with, you still fight and educate, because its about your viewers and others, not just the people they're talking to. And I'm sorry, do the ones who remain silent NOT get the cops called on them?? Lol did you watch this video that we are commenting on?? 🤣 FYI champ, a "Tool" would be the pessimistic child who tries to argue even without having a logical foundation for an argument, and resorts to hurling insults, rather than agreeing to disagree...

imagine having to explain to people why your not breaking the law though. Imagine having to repeat what your doing 30 to 40 times every time you took pictures in public. Watch amaganset press. He will explain to people 30 times in a 20 min video that he's just out traveling the country with his son and they like to take pictures and video of the towns they visit. His explanation is exactly what he is doing and its never good enough. The cops are still called, a millions more questions are asked. but why? but why? but why? why are you doing it? who is it for? what are you doing with it? I don't want to be in it. do you have a permit from the city? They just stopped explaining it to most people and we the audience doesn't have to hear idiots bicker about stuff they don't know about.

I remember when i got my first job in a factory & saying to my fellow workers (still innocent minded) i always wanted to be a policeman & I'm looking into how to go about it. I didn't understand their reaction of turning their noses up at me & walking away. I understand now. Keep the video's coming. Keep exposing the tyrants & highlighting the good cops. My first interaction with LEOs was when I was 4 1972. I was in a very bad car accident and i had a potential head injury. they wanted to take me to a hospital in an ambulance and I was terrified. One officer on the scene kindly asked if I'd be willing to go if I could ride in his police car. Well I thought that was cool so I said yes. He was so nice to me. I haven't had many encounters with them but all but 2 were very nice. One of the bad ones I won in court. I live in a very rural area so not much going on here. I have seen enough on KZbin to make me very concerned about LEOs.

100% agree with what you said at the 2:00 mark. It's why Long Island Audit is the best auditor out there, in my opinion. He's very respectful and kind in his audits to everyone, and doesn't purposely act creepy or do other things to purposely escalate the situation like some of the not-so-good auditors do. He's also great at helping to educate everyone involved. If education is the goal, Long Island Audit does it perfectly, while the auditor you showed here, although well within his rights, doesn't do much to help the cause and actually might have made things worse from the point of view of the public. In the end, the auditors caught some tyrants breaking laws and policies and violating their rights, so I thank them for that, but I hope they see this, learn a bit, and do even better going forward!

I understand what your saying, I love LIA. He does a fantastic job. However if your not committing a crime and are in public, you owe no one an explanation and half the time what they say doesn't even matter, its not enough info or something for people. I watch a lot of AP and watchman as well, and after so many videos they just stopped explaining themselves to people. They tell the audience something along the lines of "I bet a lot of you guys are wondering why I don't just tell them what I'm doing, and usually my explanation isn't good enough for them, and rather than repeat myself 100 times, I'm going to save my breath. For example Ill tell the next person who asks me." Sure enough the next person comes up and asks them why they are taking pictures and video. Amaganset tells them " this is my first time in this town, I'm with my son and we just like to document our travels." and sure enough they get, "but why, I don't understand, who are you with, what's it for, that's weird, I don't like it, you don't have the right, people don't do this, this makes no sense." So rather than having a million interactions with idiots who don't know or misunderstand their rights they just say nothing and get the cops called on them either way.

As a retired vet I can tell you that filiming a military installation has some different rules - usually they post something about not filming for basic real world security reasons. If these little sh*t trolls had pulled this stunt on Fort Bragg and esecially near Camp McKall, Camp Rowe or the Delta compound they would still be locked up somewhere. As this was a reserve or national guard center it simply elicited a response from local PD. Message to sh*t trolls - FAFO - pull this sh*t on an active duty base and see if I'm wrong.

This particular interaction was silent. I don't see it as being rude or disrespectful. Those very same people tell cops exaggerated stories alllllllllll the time. It's best to remain silent. There have been known reports of auditors almost being shot because, a worker comes out, asks what's going on, they remain silent, or explain what they are doing. Just because they don't leave from the sidewalk when this stranger demands them to, they will call the cops and say that person has a gun, when they aren't even armed... Like I said, it's best to remain silent.

I gave these auditors a -C. They did not handle this very well. If someone approches you and asks you something you should respond just to defuse the situation at the start. And I think it contributes to the separation of real auditors and what people call frauditors. It just doesn't sit well with the public when the auditors do this sort of stuff.

We need legit auditors - we don't need guys like this who are sh* trolls at best. Filming a military installation with a ski mask on? I'm a retired vet, since 911 you don't do that without having someone respond; (before 911 we would have given you a tour of the facility and let you play on the vehicles, the recruiter would have hit on you lol). Also, don't go "audit" an active duty military post (this was a reserve facility) because there are specific rules, usually posted on the fences and gates, and they do enforce them for real world security reasons.

Excellent advice you gave the cop watchers! Thanks for explaining running code. I had not heard this term before. Again, with the badge abusers asking for ID! Can they please just go after the real criminals? Abiyah do the officers not understand the auditors do this for everyone, including them? Maybe the cops think they have rights, but when they started taking away the rights of others they lost their rights. Thank you once again for educating the subscribers about the cop mentality, and how it is often taught in the Academy. However , I think many of them were bullies to begin with, and had no desire to educate themselves like you did, Abiyah. You know at one time, I did not understand why so many hate cops. I had no idea it was like this. When I was young, my Grandmother had Alzheimer's. She would wake up in the middle of the night and often go for a walk. One night she was only half dressed and walked downtown Boise. The local BPD talked her into getting in their car and took her home. My Grandmother did not trust anyone. However, the BPD were able to talk in an appropriate calm manner for her to get into that car. They took her home, and my Grandfather was so grateful. He had not heard her leave. I will never forget their kindness and caring for my Grandmother. This was the image of police officers I had in my mind for a very long time. Abiyah, it really saddens me to know how abusive cops have become. One of the silver linings in this dreadful change, is your channel and others like your channel. As always, I thank you and I ask God to bring you and your family bountiful blessings! 💖🙏
