I watched an interview with Tyler Canaris and one with his attorney, and that officer hurt him so badly with that body slam. He fractured Tyler’s skull & clavicle, ruptured his ear drum, gave him a concussion, and he was also diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury! Not to mention just how awful these officers treated him after severely injuring him, the way they interacted and spoke to him was simply disturbing. Absolutely bone chilling to think this man wears a badge. Michael McMaster has been terminated from the Paulding County Sheriff’s office, but that is NOT ENOUGH! He needs to be prosecuted and prevented from EVER wearing a badge again!!

You have that wrong. The cops need to be better educated on what it means to "obstruct" them. The guy was charged with "obstruction" which is not "resisting". Cops seem to think that by you being around them and not directly involved with their "investigation" is you "obstructing" them. They toss that "obstruction" word around like candy at a 4th of July parade just like they do with "resisting". The 2 main buzz words they use to justify everything they have done then add to that "officer safety" as the icing on that cake they are eating as well.

This is beyond heartbreaking. As a Dad who did everything thing he could to get his son back as he was dealing with problems due to addiction, I can read between the lines here. I believe this young man may have gone through some problems like this and his father was doing all he could to support him. He stated that he was just trying to get his life back together and just wanted to get to work. The officer obviously paid zero attention to this. The victim knew his support was in his father and that's why he asked the officer to call him. He wanted dad by his side to help make sense of a senseless situation. I hope the young man heals fully from the injuries sustained at this tyrant's hands and he is able to continue on the right path. As far as this officer, he has no business being in law enforcement. A reprimand or suspension is not satisfactory and he needs to lose any credentials that he may possess which would allow him to get another job with a different jurisdiction. I'm just sick to my stomach after watching this And as far as anyone else supporting a child that is going through some sort of problem, all I can say is no matter how bad and how low things may go, never give up on them. My son got his life together, is a homeowner, and has blessed me with three beautiful grandchildren.
