This is dangerous and inappropriate behavior by citizen activists. Following the police is reckless and could lead to interference of legitimate law enforcement activity due to safety concerns over the presence of bystanders. Officers face real threats to law enforcement personnel and citizen activists may be mistaken for criminals looking for retribution. The incidental filming of misconduct by law enforcement officers is within the law and inappropriate behavior by law enforcement officers is never justified. However this is going too far. There are other ways of publicizing police misconduct. My concern is that this behavior by citizen activists will be used to create legal precedence and new laws which will lead to the criminalization of all reporting and filming of police misconduct. Stop following the police around and making a nuisance out of yourselves. They have real problems which they need to deal with. Not all police activity is abuse of authority. Most officers are looking to catch or stop violent criminals. We need to reform our law enforcement agencies not "Abolish" them.

I saw a video of a cop shootinb a 85 years old women who answered her door with a knife in her hand and was behind her back. Instead of the officer telling her to put it down or saying Maam if that is a knife or some other weapon I need to to put it away or drop it. But instead he kept on asking her to show him wnat it was. The final time he scream on top of his lungs and when she should him she had a knife he shot her 7 times. At no time did he even bother to step back. I bet you no one cared one crap about that poor women who answer her door with a knife because the stupid cop was banging on the door so loudly with his flashlight she probably thought someone was breaking in. I was taught the Constitution in elementary school. I remember how it somehow freed me. And I was only a kid. I feel that learning the Constitution helped me mature into the man that I am today. It teaches us responsibility. It's simple and to the point. Small talk if I may. And this seems to be written this way on purpose. What tyrant's do is complicate things so the common man cannot easily defend himself. And or make it difficult to defend from a tyrannical attack of any kind what so ever. Especially with local police. And because of this. Cops don't abide by their oath. They enforce victimless crimes. They ruin lives. They steal people's money through traffic tickets that amounts to 7 billion per year and through civil asset forfeiture, which totals more than all the burglaries combined in the USA. They have raped over 400 women and children since 2014. They kill 3 Americans per day. Americans are 22 times more likely to be killed by a cop than anything else in the world! These are the reasons why I dislike bad cops. And good cops do nothing about the bad cops. So they are all bad cops.

Perfect analyses, Thank You. As a retired OTR driver, and through personal miles, I have had literally hundreds of these types of "encounters" with these jackbooted thugs making their own laws during such incidents. Many "stops" were based on purported road rage incidents that were so highly falsified and inflated, concocted and simply made up, by both the reporting entity and the law enforcement officials themselves. I, in their eyes and minds, was already fully guilty before even being stopped - every time. This goes back near 45 years through over 3 million miles of driving, personal and professional. I've seen it all ! I drove away 99% of the time without even a single piece of paperwork from them because I stood up for myself with them. They do not like that - at all - I relished in it. I'm no billybadass or nothing, meek and mild-mannered, calm cool and collected is me - until they tried to deny my rights. Then... They would quietly say " have a nice day SIR !" I carried a copy of the Colorado revised codes with for years as I lived on the west slope for over 20 years. 3 counties, 5 cities all within a 40 mile long valley / corridor (Roaring Fork). After a while, they all had my "number" and I was targeted at least weekly by any of them. Finally had enough as of their last "charade", couldn't afford to live their anymore anyhow and moved to Montana - nice and quiet here in the middle of nowhere and I no longer drive at all - don't even own a vehicle anymore; grocery store is only 5 blocks; I need the exercise anyhow. I dont need to go anywhere else - I've already been everywhere. I got to see every corner of the country on someone else's fuel and got paid well to do it too. I have many notebooks filled with all of the paperwork that was generated from "them" for so many false claims and outright lies in their handwritten statements. Unbelievable. Now, where I am, it is a very rampant and nearly undeniable and substantiated, hushed "rumor" that their are several officers on my local police force that are involved in meth and fentynal dealing(s) in this tiny town. Lotta' meth here, it is a very big problem. People speak up and are told that it simply is not happening - mind your own business and go back to doing whatever you were doing before. That don't work for me ! We don't have a mayor and a city council, we have the ruling body as the chamber of commerce and a CEO. I don't know how that works, but it is pretty obvious to me now after 23 years here that something is very wrong with this type of local government. I have compiled a very long list of wrongs and absolute inadequacies as well as quite an amount of nepotism and outright corruption. Do I put what I know of these local things into action, as several others here in town have and have been silenced for it, or just just enjoy my retirement and watch it go by ?

Modern police, and I mean the kind that were created under capitalism, mostly in the 19th century, were created for the very explicit purpose, and this hasn't changed at all, of punishing poor (read, working class) people and minorities. Ultimately, and most cops actually do not know this, they work for the owner class, the politicians who command the cops take their orders from these tycoons, just as the cops take their orders from politicians. Same with the sheriffs, they are beholden to wealthy backers, too. It sounds as if where you've landed, with the chamber of commerce, is a company town of sorts. My condolences.

This so often happens when a chief of police is ( allegedly ) running an illegal private security business. These illegal businesses use our tax payer equipment, desks, lights, telephones, cop man power and in many cases double bill the city and bill the paying customer that needs the private security services. The cop then pays the button nose chief of police a bit something something.. This is called RACKETEERING. 3 OF the criteria for RACKETEERING is hierarchy, intimidation, and fraud. There is no time off for bad cops. To the public it looks like they are on paid vacation, but mostly the cops work this illegal private security business. The only one fooled here is YOU!!!!!! Also, most cops drink vodka to sleep at night. They may have pulled you over and you would never know. Or could you. The big giveaway is the menacing, belligerent, confrontational, aggressive dangerous grainy VODKA VOICE. When you get pulled over , make as little contact with an alcoholic cop. Like any alcoholic, they are dangerous with a license to carry a gun and kill. They will testilie against you and get away with it. You are dealing with a gang with a badge.. Sometimes , with the judges there are many conflicts of interest, but you will never know. Sink your teeth into this and pass it on....And please, learn some law because obviously, the cops follow protocol not the Constitution.. Get Constitutional Law for dummies or any book. Cops don't have continuing education. Because of the rampant alcoholism, they should be breathalyzed after every incident and before they can start our tax payer police cars.. Many of these guys are void of empathy. We the People need to enforce the law.
