Here is a quick method to copy random objects to scattered points in Houdini. No For-Loops or CopyStamp needed.

this is a Fantastic simple video, thank you!!! A question though : what is the difference between creating the Piece Attribute in the Assemble node, and using Create Attribute node. The behavior looks a tad different, but I cannot explain why it is different... any idea?

2:26 Except that "3 unique" applies to the "name" attribute, not the "piece" attribute. 😐 The comma separates them.

2:21 Why is the "piece" attribute a primitive attribute? "Primitive" in this context means faces. Why is it not a detail attribute? It seems... unnecessary to have an integer value associated with each face of the geometry. It can be very redundant if your geometry is complex with tens of thousands of polygons.
