You can out wii and wiiU games on the same drive if it is large enough and partitioned into 2 different drives then format one of the partitions to the wii format.

After doing a tiramisu update Disk2App no longer works. Not sure if it was something I did. Gets all the way tp exploit and says done. No longer asks for the disk to be inserted.

wii 1st generation library contains 1.8tb and wiiu 200~ games comes out to around 1tb so if u were to have a collection of gc wii and wii u you can use a 2tb very effciently.

Yes the wii u natively doesn't support games being run from sd only USB.

@@danleary123 that isn't accurate, it was only recently that loading games from usb was a thing, for 80% of the wii-u existence you could only play the games from the SD card and not from the USB storage.

Hey Blaine! I've recently purchased a couple of Wii U's and want to jailbreak them. I've watched several videos and like your two latest videos because they are so-o simple. Nice and concise. I have several games and understand how to to copy the discs now that is great. Are you planning on making a video on how to create an external USB drive that holds Wii, Gamecube, SNES, Turbografix, etc. games as well? Is it the same process like I've done with my Wii or different? I've used WBFS Manager in the past for the Wii games but it's been awhile. Need some assistance with this and some of the other older games. Thanks!

wii and wiiu need to be seperate unfortunately because vWii / wbfs wants the entire HDD and our USB HDD for wiiu backups needs to be fat32 formatted (either by guiformat in windows or letting the console do it) So you need more than one hdd or use the sd card for gc (nintendont)/vwii

I'm having the same problem. Would be great to get a follow up video on dealing with the dlc, updates and especially save data. When I try to move the updates and save data from the NAND to the HDD *after* installing the game on the HDD, it says it will be overwriting data on the HDD. Choosing "cancel" gets you nowhere, and choosing "overwrite" successfully moves the update and save data, but erases the installed game. It did work to move those first and then install the game. But wiiu.hacks sure seems to make it sound like you can move the updates etc. after the install. Blaine, any thoughts?

You can't sadly.. The disc must be converted into a specific file format and structure and installed that way.

clean the discs with glasses cloth - i had the same problem ripping my discs and they had to be pristine to dump properly.

wii U required a Y cable for it to pickup any external hdd unless that external hdd runs on an external power source.

You can install Wii and GameCube games via Virtual Console injections on the same drive. But it's a little bit of work.

The dumped game images are encrypted. The 2nd step decrypts them which makes them accessible on the HDD.

Google is your friend. Master the search. Put quotes on specific sequences of words that are 100% going to be together in your search. Such as "download link" as this will narrow down your search to the links you want. Trial and error will teach you better than anyone. And as einstein says, "failure is a part of success"
