*UPDATE* 7/30/2019 Claim on this video is resolved. They probably yote like a hundred dollars from it though which is irritating. Many of the other claims on my channel have been sorted out by muting and cutting parts out of my old videos. My newer videos have been largely untouched as I've been very careful about using anything owned by a large company since this all started happening. Now we just gotta hope things get better. Also Create Media never responded to me. Called it. *UPDATE* 9/5/2019 KZbin announced some actually good changes recently that should help to at least partly resolve the issues I talked about in this video. Really good to see some progress!

It would work out pretty well theoretically, youtubers get together and agree that if one of them gets fucked over they stop uploading until it's set right. Most of the fans of these youtubers would reasonably set their hatred towards KZbin and the Claimant and youtube would lose a portion of income from the lack of new videos from potentially incredibly large channels (though in reality this wouldn't be a big deal).

A way to dissuade companies from abusing the copyright system, is to make it so that there is a mediator between the content creator, and the company, and to(if the company loses the counter claim) make the company pay the money that the video made, with an interest of some kind added on top.

So here's a thought, if the company must pay back the money they made on the claim if they lose... but they're the ones who decided to accept a counter claim or not... would this not just worsen the already terrible tendency of companies denying counter claims even if they're right?

I would be able to support a family with three kids probably. But as it is right now a profession like graphic designer gets paid around 4$ an hour and that is considered sort of average. Most people where I live have only one child because they can't support more. If they have two that means they are doing quite well. I don't know anyone around my age or younger with more than two kids. There is a ton that I could write but I want to keep it short and not bother anyone. If anyone has more questions I'd be happy to answer.

Large companies can't iterate instantly, and considering how grey the international laws are regarding stuff like copyright and how black and white they are in the registered 'home' country, that being the US, you might actually come to appriciate that YT is working as well as it is. Stuff like DMCA strike is by definition a extention of DMCA in which YT gives the 'controls' to the parties responsible, which helps to absolve them from getting crippled and having their credit rankings get dragged to the mud by housing illegal content in country, for example. Just saying 'we need to resolve this' does not translate to 'we resolved this'- and while YT's role in the system could be improved, the current iteration is the safest one for *youtube*, which should be the top priority for any company. And make no mistake, Google, and by extention, youtube are companies whose main focus is to provide services to advertisers and get money that way. The content YT uses to drive in the views, thus giving them audience for the ads, is essentially donated to YT from content creators until point where YT considers them profitable enough to be given a small share of the advertisement profit as encouragement- and by no means is that even neccessary for youtube to do. Basically, youtube is doing a lot of good, lot of innovation, but they are doing it slowly and carefully even if it costs them some content creators- which in loss of revenue is barely a blip on the radar when compared to getting sued en masse by companies and goverments for hosting stolen content, or as it is called, software privacy. So yeah, things are complicated when you remember things aren't black and white.
