Yes, you can have multiple dwarf angelfishes in a tank. I have a 200 gallon tank with corals, tangs, angelfishes, damsels, etc. I even have 2 flame angelfishes in the same tank, male and female. Queen Angel, Emperator, Swallowtail, and African Flameback. They don't touch the corals and I feed them at least 4-7 times a day.

The Coral Beauty has always been a favourite fish. I had one for about six years until my tank crashed. Mine was mild tempered (actually had a bicolor and a Singapore in the 180g tank as well and there was no aggression). The only corals that were at risk were fleshy ones like open brain and such. Otherwise good with sps and lps. Fascinating to watch it swim in and out of the rock work.

That is actually impressive. Many reefers wish to have that kind of success. Congrats Ferry.

Good one Sean. I also have one and I love that it's beautiful, captive bred, and eats algae. What I don't love it the aggressiveness, mine is kind of mean.

So far so good with this one to be honest. Keeping my fingers crossed as far as it getting aggressive.

Hi. Great video explaining everything. I didnt see a video with a update. Or maybe i missed it. But how was the fish, did it eat/nib at any corals?
@PittsburghReefJunkie
@PittsburghReefJunkie 2 жыл бұрын
Now that you say that, I never did do an update. I will have to get on that. It is possible that he has been nipping at corals.

The coral beauty is my favorite saltwater fish. I just lost mine earlier this week. I only had it for a little over 4 months. I hope yours does well.

4 months?? Any idea what the deal was? I can't see it being your water because you have nice corals.

@@PittsburghReefJunkie For starters I kept him in WAY too small a tank. I'm embarrassed to say that he was in a nano 13 gallon. I'm in the process of setting up a 120, but it is at least another week or two from launch. He was actually doing great, and just died.

I hate it when that happens to fish. Was it fully grown when you got it?

Not sure about a nano. May be a little on the small side.

Sean, how is your Coral Beauty working out? Mine has turned into an Ahole. I want to get a Foxface, but afraid to put one in there.

Our coral beauty is in quarantine with the others as well. He seems to be ok with everyone. Stays in the PVC fitting most of the time. But in the main when they were in there, he would pretty much do his own thing. Never bothered anyone. Just don't get two Pygmy angels. Like the coral beauty and rusty. Or Flame Angel. Keep it single. As far as the Fox face goes the other tangs mostly used to mess with him and he would always have a defensive stance with his spikes. Always made me nervous. But he and the purple tang in quarantine seem fine. I always get nervous putting my hand in the main when he was in there for fear of not seeing him and getting stung.

Jesus, lots of angels prefer sponge for food. but live sponge can get very expensive. All of my fish eat probiotic small pellets from new life spectrum. It may take a couple days for them to get to eating it, but they will. Give it a try. www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=6927&gclid=Cj0KCQjwqp-LBhDQARIsAO0a6aJEPqne3kK-tnMpiY8Cq7KkGZruvCVseKNvmd_HiTel8jUhC1-_LLcaAtafEALw_wcB

White spots could be ick (white spot disease) or marine velvet. It’s very common Parasite especially in tangs. Moorish idols are a very advanced fish, considered expert care for many different reasons. However if you are unsure of basic parasites that can inhabit your fish, I would stray away from advanced fish in the future. Take the time to do some research and have fish that are more on the beginner spectrum that are a little more hardy before going to expect care.
