Hi Clara - I'm a long time CPA, and agree with all of your points - but #4 about taxes really rings true. The sharpest business people I've worked with were never overly aggressive on taxes. Whenever I worked with someone who was primarily focused on saving taxes, they never created a good, sustainable business. Entrepreneurs - the federal tax rate is about as low as it's ever going to get - just focus on building a good business!

I consciously chose to not offer tax services in the new firm I am starting. Too many people associate their CPA with saving them on tax. I want my clients to associate me with optimizing profits and cash flow. There are better tax specialists than me and most business owners need to out there focus more o. Generating more profits not in paying less tax.
