Same. My 26&2 instructor always talks about how 26&2 allows you to use your “masculine” energy. I think you can activate many energies in yoga and this video definitely activates my masculine energy, much like 26&2. I’ve been looking for a good strength training yoga and this one is awesome. I did this class in my hot yoga room, it was fantastic, thank you!

What I like about his videos is that he explains where you should feel it. When he tells you "if you feel it in your x you should change your position abit"

This is really awesome. It's as practical as Iyengar yoga but more specific in terms of targeting muscle groups within poses. Like a really intense technique class. It's also a brilliant low impact/ Maximum effort workout, which you don't get with more meditative yoga classes. I am definitely deepening my understanding of my yoga practice and undoubtedly it will get infinitely better as i continue to use these videos. Thanks Dean!

Man I'm doing Yoga every day but this workout taught me a low of new things about my body. I thought my wrists are quite open but that wrist exercise killed me. I'm gonna keep coming back to this for sure. Thank you so much!

Great workout - thank you. Just what I needed this morning. During lockdown I did the strength foundations course and have since gone on to the s.f. workout series. Great instruction and progression. Highly recommended for anyone looking for yoga with a focus on strength and fitness as well as flexibility.

This is by far the best session yet, hits all the fundamental stabilising muscle groups. the holds are the right time length to fatigue the muscles .

Dean... this single workout (done 3 times a week) seems to have fixed issues I’ve had with my left knee and lower back. I’m not even exaggerating this. I’m grateful for what you do. I just wanted you to know this.

I’ve never tried a yoga experience where the depth of where I should be feeling the muscle impact is. It was reassuring that as soon as my body started shaking you said “and you’ll probably feel your body shaking, and that’s a good thing”. Outstanding session. Deep Bow.

This is excellent. Finally yoga for men. Even better in my own home . You give excellent instructions. I had a really tight lower back yesterday and I found a work out especially for it. Today its all loosened up. I feel so flexible.

Discomfort is ok but pain is bad, so if something hurts don't do it. Stay consistent with your practice and it'll get easier.

Hey @manflowyoga, quick question, are these workouts meant to take the place of weights and cardio or meant to do in conjunction in the same day? Just want to make sure I'm doing enough or if I'm overloading my body I wanna know... Thanks!

We always recommend doing yoga at least 3X a week. Combining yoga with other forms of exercise is also something we encourage. You can definitely do them the same day, just listen to your body. If you start getting burnt out it may be time to switch things up.

Thanks for this workout. Question: When I do the recline twist and I bend my knees to the right (or to the left) I never have an issue keeping my opposite shoulder on the ground, BUT I always take my knee all the way down to the floor. Am I cheating??? Should I do that or should I stop just a couple of inches before reaching the floor? TIA

If it's an active pose, like doing rounds back and forth, don't go all the way down. But if it's restorative and the twist is being held, then go ahead and go all the way down.

It can help but you'll want to look into adjusting your diet and adding more exercise into your routine.

Strengthen your glutes. Any of my hip workouts will help. Deep squats, warrior 2, and single leg bridge are good exercises for this.

pushing my feet into the ground in cobra just mashes my chest and stomach while raising my hips

You should also be lifting your shoulders up and back, engaging your core. The idea is to do so without touching the ground with your hands either either. Give it some time, you might just need to work on your core strength.

It's a remote class. The talking and instruction is necessary.

Great session. However, I find all the talking you do during poses very distracting/annoying. It can be a bit of a turn off. There are a few sessions that you’ve posted that I LOVE. I practice them from time to time. It did take me a while though, to tune you out.

I, for one, very much appreciate your detailed instructions. I've been doing yoga regularly for a few years now, and still find that if I allow my attention to wander, my alignment suffers for it. If I want a more meditative session, I may choose something different, but your flows are fantastic for getting a full workout
