If there’s a African American who doesn’t know much about black history in America and a Chinese man who is an expert in African American history then the Chinese man is more qualified to talk on the subject despite him not being African American. The reason people say you’re not allowed to talk on issues pertaining to a specific race or ethnic group unless you’re a part of it is because they are scared to be made to look like a fool on subject matter they supposedly be more knowledgeable in. The exact same way all these diva athletes use the excuse of “you’ve never played professionally” to diminish the opinions of people giving them critiques, because in reality they know the critique is correct but they don’t have the character to admit that a person who didn’t play on the same level as them may actually have a valid point
