My Mother would get up early on Sunday morning and make rolls. I love them to this day. My Mother akso made biscuits every day for dinner. They were delicious. Cooking for your family is a gift that can never be forgotten whether it is your recipe or not. I learned to cook by watching my Mother cook. I also loved to watch Julia Child, America's first television cook, cook as her technique was flawless. A good bible lesson and prayer makes it special as well as sharing a meal and the Word with somebody.

Adding the egg just enriches the dough, making the finished rolls a little more tender. My grandmother's best friend would always come and spend a full day with us, and she'd bake up several loaves of bread, rolls, cinnamon rolls, burger buns, etc. and fill our freezer, then we'd send her home with all kinds of jam, preserves, pickles, fresh garden produce, milk, homemade butter, fresh eggs and such. Old fashioned barter system.

God bless mawmaws cooking I adore her I’m age 65 and I came down with psoriatic arthritis in 2017. The otezla medicine to help slow the progression of the disease caused an inoperable brain tumor. I love to cook and house keep and decorate etc I also crochet and paint paintings for the families of the deceased. My tumor finally went away last year after taking enough penicillin to kill an elephant. So I’m now on Humira for my disease so far no tumor. But I’ve been surprised how fast the psoriatic arthritis takes all your energy and strength. My husband is cooking, washing clothes and learning to do housework. It’s been so surreal but one thing is I love your mawmaws energy vibrant belief and of course all her great family cooking God bless her in our lord Jesus name amen.

You can't hardly beat homemade rolls and homemade butter. Growing up, we had a cow my daddy milked, and my mom churned so we'd have butter. Your rolls look delicious and quite easy to make.

@@laurale8299 we also had a cow and my mom made butter, yogurt, and lots of ice cream. Dad told mom they needed to get rid of her because he had gained so much weight. Her name was Babe and one time she had twins. She was a gentle Jersey. Fun memories!

Many years ago early 1969 I started clipping recipes and tried them. If I liked it I put it in a photograph binder. Where it was safe. I marked the year I collect it. I put dividers and wrote main dish, dessert etc and placed recipe in proper place. Now I have a bunch of binders that my granddaughter pours through and uses. I also have cookbooks. That are old.

I was thinking the same! 71 y/o Nana and I used to make a similar roll! We had a lake place with a cabin and house! The grands took the cabin over except for the youngest! He slept right between us for many years! They stayed most of the summer! What great memories! The youngest has had some mental problems. He has been clean and sober for 3 years now! Praise Jesus but he thinks Jesus can't love him anymore! His mom and I have explained that was why Jesus died! We all sin and fall short of theglory of the Lord! we repent and ask forgiveness! But no matter what we show him in the Bible! Please keep him in your prayers! He has been suicidal! He stayed with his Pop and I for the first year and a half to get sober and clean! The next yr and a half with Mom so he could work! Now he splits time with us! His new counselor seems to be really good! They have a good relationship! I often wish we had our lake place so we could go get away! We sold it upon retirement in 09! We decided to sell the big house as well and move to the farm! We love the downsizing! But ❤❤❤ miss being on the water.! Thank you for your loving prayer! I think everyone needs help with their finances! Times are hard right now for young and old! Enjoyed your channel snd I am sure I will be a binge watcher! One question? Is Corey your son or grandson? My kids call me Nana now!
