Dinner Rolls - The Hillbilly Kitchen

Dinner Rolls. These are soft fluffy rolls that will compliment any meal from soup to a formal holiday dinner and they will earn the cook plenty of compliments. They are not fast, but they aren’t difficult either. With a little time and patience, anyone can make perfect rolls.
This is an extremely versatile dough. It can be made ahead of time and refrigerated or frozen. The sugar can be adjusted radically to fit the meal they are being served with and to suit the tastes of the crowd you are feeding. There are endless possibilities for add-ins, such as garlic, Italian spices or cheese.
This dough makes great cinnamon rolls, buns, and bread bowls for soup. It even makes a good loaf of bread. These rolls are perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Easter Dinner. They make a Sunday Dinner really special and when you pair them with a pot of homemade soup, they are unforgettable. If you need a dish to take to a potluck or church dinner these will get plenty of attention and you aren’t likely to bring a crumb home.

Ingredients:
3 to 3 ½ cups All-Purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
2 ¼ teaspoons Yeast (one packet)
2 tablespoons to ½ cup Sugar
4 tablespoon Butter
1 cup Milk
2 Eggs

You are not a dummy. At 79 I am sure you have accomplished many great things - so compliment yourself for those things. I am 77-1/2 & starting Jan. 2022 I pressured canned chicken, turkey, beef, pork, pumpkin, white & sweet potatoes even Okra from our garden. Yes, also worked in the garden. Get worn out but have to keep going. Yes, KZbin has so many great channels with mouth-watering recipes. I write down those that I want to do in a notebook. In March 2020 I was diagnosed with bowel cancer, and given 2 - 3 years to live. This was 1 week before lockdown. I refused to get upset, it doesn't solve anything for me, I just waited for the call to have my operation. This happened in July 2020, and I was told I would have the results to see if I needed further treatment in a week. I got out of hospital after 15 days, and waited for the call. On September, 2 months after my operation, I got the call. I was totally cancer fre3e, and needed no more treatment. I know that God was with me, and would look after me. I feel so blessed to have dodged that bullet. Lily

These look SO good, I could almost smell them! Yum! I am 65 and they remind me of the dinner rolls we used to get on spaghetti day at school. Thank you so much for your testimony in Christ. I'm 78 and married my pregnant girlfriend when she was 15 and I was 17 in 1961. We had a great life and two more children. She passed away 5 years ago to be with Christ. Amen shortly after her death I had a stroke but God blessed me with a good outcome. Although it affected my eyesight he let me keep most of my mind. I now live on my first daughter and her husband's property. The one that people wanted me and my wife to give up for adoption or abortion. God is just to forgive us our sin and bless us in ways we could never have imagined. You vidio on " Making Dinner Bun" was like watchin my Mom and my dear Wife making bread. I never paid much attention when they did so. I was busy laying Brick and Block for a living. Now retired and watching you, I more realize the work and skill it takes "Just" to make bread. Thank God He is Still in Charge!!

After trying a couple of bread recipes that required 5 to 10 cups of flour with lackadaisical results. Hubby even said as long as the grocery store has bread, we will continue to buy bread. I did not give up and tried your recipe for the dinner rolls that makes a dozen. My husband commented by telling me how great the outcome was for our dinner. You are such a blessing, and one of God’s blessing to everyone. Your story about His people trusting His will when they were out in the wilderness for 40 days and nights. I have quite unsuccessfully attempted twice to make rolls with the recipe from the Fleishmanns yeast website and what a disaster. I swore off bread baking after the second debacle, but now I've regained my faith and will try this recipe tomorrow. 😊

I am thankful for Jesus in my life and forgiving me if my sins. The Lord beckoned to me in 2000, I was 52, it was VERY strong. He was above the steeple of this church, all by itself on a corner, nothing around it. That was the church I went to. When I was saved, the beckoning stopped. I’d love to tell you more about it, but a little too long, but it was really enlightening to say the absolute least, but I’m thankful. I’m thankful for the years I had with my husband, which was only 10 years. I’m thankful for people like you that make programs like this. I’m 74 as I’m writing this 9/30/22. Have a very blessed on whatever you’re doing this day. I’ll keep watching.

You brought back a memory. My dad is from the Gatlinburg area (Pittman Center) of East Tennessee. He always mixed a bit of butter with honey on his plate at the end of his meal and had it with whatever bread we had for supper. It was bread AND dessert! (He married a California girl, but he got to go back and live in East Tennessee for about 1/2 the year for the last 10 years before my mom got too fragile. He got to be a Tennessee boy again!)
