Wow , that's a great Corgi Toys , Mini and that's great for a restoration project . Excelent work with the finishing parts and painting . A very important model to me. Aged 4, in 1967, I used to correctly call out the names of passing cars on walks with my mother and I would form long traffic jams with my Dinky toys at home. I suddenly had to go to hospital for a burst appendix. Waking up, I got this model in Red ... with glittering headlights....pure sci-fi stuff from the guys at Corgi, until then a make not known to me. Still kept with the Dinkys, though, uniformity of size necessary for the traffic jam :)

I have always loved these cars. You made a great colour choice. It looks like the red Mini from The Italian Job, movie It's one of my favourite movies. I'm talking about the original from 1969.

The giveaway Laz, will be the Austin Seven floor and the Morris Cooper shell - same thing, of course. Good rescue, though and better than scrapping both! I did like the Fiesta Yellow and White on the first car: reminded me of my Dad's first car - a Fiests Yellow Austin Countryman. Red on red is nice.

such Mini. Very trouble. XD that red looks rich, I like it. :) the different baseplates irritate me, I didn't know they were fiddling with those designs that much. and flat wheels, that looked like dinky. interesting! ^^
