I can't help but think that Cormani and his mom would have shown more respect to a white coach. That's how some of our people are. They'll run to a Dan Lanning and almost beg for a spot, but they think the BLACK Hall of Famer is a clown coach, just like some of the haters who told him he should go. If he had respected his black male coach who loved him, he could still have a future. Even right now... if he called Prime and talked to him, Prime would save him from himself. But they're not used to a black man having power to affect their lives.

CORMANI IS AN UNDISCIPLINED young man who now needs to learn a valuable life lesson the hard way. I hope he sits in that transfer portal until the zero hour; let him sweat. Hopefully, he will shake himself out of the fog and realize that no coach worth his salt has time to babysit any player. He has to focus on a team full of other players who are grinding, doing all the work necessary to EARN THEIR SPOT on the team. CORMANI ALLOWED THAT "5-STAR" rating to GO TO HIS HEAD and now he's languishing in the portal he was so quick to jump into. He thought a coach of his preference would jump at the opportunity to snag him up. These coaches have learned who CORMANI TRULY IS....A YOUNG SPOILED, ENTITLED, UNRELIABLE, IRRESPONSIBLE & UNDISCIPLINED young man who no coach can rely on/depend on. Cormani now has a choice to make: STRAIGHTEN UP AND FLY RIGHT - MEANING: ✔GET SERIOUS AND STOP ACTING ABSURD ANYMORE. ✔ACT IN A MATURE MANNER AND GET FOCUSED. ✔STOP MISBEHAVING AND START ACTING CORRECTLY. ✔GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER. ✔QUIT SCREWING AROUND. See if you take the personal feelings out, you can see clearly that Cormani needs a "male" mentor (not momma) Sometimes not getting great advice or not heeding common sense = unwanted adversity. The reason people are mad is becuase you can see where this is headed if no intervention happens. Another shoulda, coulda, woulda been great player falling through the cracks. There are 1000s of young athletes coming up who will be "great" so no one is waiting on someone to finally get it. Not because of coaching, but the way he played and his influence. Therefore, other coaches are saying, if Cormani wouldn't do the right things for arguably the best corner back ever, why should we waist our time with him. Talent only get you so far... If Coach Prime could not manage him, why would any of these other big schools think they can? Let's look past the alleged weed-smoking, skipping team meetings and not studying films, to focus on him hiding in the bathroom to avoid drills at practice. What college athlete, that has their sight on going to the pros, would do something like that? Have you ever had someone look you in the face and lie without a conscious? Yeah, that's the vibe I am getting. And btw, the late-night practice footage everyone is using of him was recorded just a few weeks ago. When I saw the footage, I thought why is he deciding to practice on his own and hasn't done so all school year? Maybe because he saw the writing on the wall and knew he would need it once he landed in the transfer portal.

No one wants to take a risk on a headache, when you can select & develop your own headache out of High School. Best of Luck to Cormani. He'll still have a shot, it just will NEVER be the same opportunity presented to him by CU. P.S: Being the #1 CB recruit comes with HIGH EXPECTATIONS. As soon as you step on a college field all that #1 recruit talk disappears. High School is now irrelevant and 2 year old HS film isn't going to work, now. This is a "What have you done lately" association. Unfortunately, players enter the portal seeking something easier. However, the EXPECTATION never changes! The grass is RARELY greener on the other sides switching programs with little to bad film. I say this b/c coaches are willing to look pass the character issues, as majority of coaches think they have the magic formula to change a players attitude and focus. Prime could've saved this kid by NOT putting him on the field and allowing him get exposed, just to shut the media/fans up. Had that not happen, those 20 something D-1 schools would've thought Cormani is just developing considering they have a Top10 draft pick at CB already. But under the pressure, Prime played him. Which led to Cormani defending his play with excuses and ultimately throwing Prime under the bus. In return, Prime exposed all his habits. Now we know Cormani's work ethics, and we have the résumé (FILM) to confirm it. That's why he's at home.

Humility would have taken Cormani a long way. I hope for Cormani's sake his "clicks" comment about Deion and Colorado hasn't sealed his fate in Power 5 college football.

They're not gonna publicly say we are going after Cormani.....cuz if they don't get him, it looks bad and gets the current players mad
@foreverfly311321 күн бұрын
Right. People forget last year CP had a lot of enemies so they don’t care what Cormani said because they said it last year too. 😂 These programs are use to hood dudes, gang members, drug users etc.. I can name more than a few former football players who make Cormani look like a saint when they were in college. CM need to shown grace to grow.

It's crazy prime be sitting there. Trying not to bam off the kids when they leave but when you keep on talking trash and talking shit about the program and what I'm doing he said all bets Is off. He might end up going to a division 2 school Are HBCU

This young man needs to swallow his pride, humble himself, go back to Colorado, and apologize. He needs to tune out all the noise and do whatever it takes by working his butt off to get back on the team. He needs to understand that is not gonna be easy because he’s gonna have to re-earn everybody’s trust (coaches, and teammates) but he can do it. This is what we call a teachable moment, a life lesson, and a character-building moment. I’ve always told my kids your gifts and talents will open doors for you, but it's your character that will keep you in the room.

Have the rules changed? It used to be when a student athlete signed with an agent the collegiate career was over. They couldn’t have an agent and play college ball. Maybe it has changed.

He's not getting anything. He screwed that up. He might as well take what he can get from a small school and earn it. Cam did it big time when he left Florida and spent a year at JUCO. We know the rest of the story.

He will be ok! He is a baller. He is being made to look a particular way by a media team. Someone will get a hell of a player! He simply made the wrong choice.

That's not guaranteed. There are a lot of talented players with cleans slates. Character flaws are nightmares for any program. You see it on every level. When they decide to humble you, there is nothing you can do about it. You will need Jesus to lift you.

Locker room culture means a lot to coaches. You have to be careful when recruiting. Everyone must be on the same page. One person can mess up the vibe.

It sounds like this young man doesn’t want to be in the limelight. His family does, but he is the one with the talent. That’s a lot of pressure on someone that young. Maybe he is purposely sabotaging himself.

These college athletes are getting paid like pros. Once you take the money then the expectations are set for you to deliver the results for the time to win. Programs don’t have time to spend money on a player that’s not delivering when the money can go to another player that’s performing.
@InvestBuildEmpower20 күн бұрын
He needs to humble himself and go to Bethune Cookman. Clean up his image and then transfer to a bigger school later. No top program wants him. This is a business all the way around now. If all you can do is embarass them and you haven't proven anything on the field at this level, then you are not welcome. If he wouldn't listen to Deion Sanders, he is not going to kisten to anyone. Like he told a group of guys in a chat recently, " You think I care about what you'll got to say?"
