What's the name of that style of Pocket work, cuz everytime I type in crochet I get the normal square, Which I know how to do easily but this beautiful pocket work you got going on is what really caught my eye to this piece. So I was really hoping to figure out some kind of name to type in so I can get different styles and types for the stitch count and what not. Or is it like making the chest part of that one white spaghetti tank top that you made awhile ago. Im so sorry if I lost you in all my confusion and what not and I hope that you can somewhat understand what it is I was trying to say...lol ..

Haha, I think I know what you are saying. Not sure if there is a specific name for this pocket style but it might be a corner pocket. Definitely check out the tutorial for more specific instructions on how to work it but basically you start working a something like an asymmetrical shawl with increases on only one side for growth. Then work the long part of the scarf along the side of this triangle. Fold in the triangle and join to main body of scarf for pocket. I hope this makes sense. 😊🧶❤️

Great question. You could but the scarf dimensions will be smaller because the yarn thickness is smaller. 😊🧶❤️

Greetings, as I’m watching from 3:10, you say you’ll show what to do next after row one is complete but at 3:13 it jumps to row two. So, am I doing the same for row 2?

Hi There! Great question. My apologies on that. My editor made a goof. I plan on redoing this tutorial to fix things. But As for row 2 of the first increase pocket, you will begin row 2 by chaining 1, turning your work, hdc in the first slip stitch, then repeat *slip stitch in the next hdc, hdc in the next slip stitch* across. in the last hdc of the row you will want to make a (slip stitch & hdc) in that last stitch. Hello, I would like to ask a question. Is it recommended to use a plain aluminium crochet hook to make a scarf? Because I only have 1 crochet hook with an ergonomic (comfort ) handle that is 5mm, whilst the others I own are plain hooks. As I am very unsure .Sorry to be a bother.

What is the finished length of the scarf? My MIL asked me to make this for her, but she only wants it to be 60 inches long, as she is short.

Oh gotcha! My scarf is 99 inches long. But you can absolutely stop the middle section of the scarf at 60 inches easily. You will just need to keep you tape measure close and start working the second pocket once you reach 60 inches. 😊🧶❤️

am i crazy or what? i chained the amount, did row one then following the end of the town it says if you are at end of row 2. what is row 2? i got row one but no 2.

Strange, sorry for the confusion. At the end of row 1 you will end with a sl st in the last CJ. You should have 14 stitches (7 hdc, 7 sl sts). Then you ch 1, turn and Hdc on top of sl st and sl st on top of Hdc. Repeat across the row for row 2.

She skipped the end of row 1 and went straight to end of row 2. That why the tail of my yarn kept being on the wrong side. I'm all messed up

My apologies for this. I just noticed that skipped section. Let me try to text what you messed. Row 1: continue the Half Double Crochet then Slip Stitch pattern all the way across for row one. You will finish row 1 with a slip stitch in the last stitch space. With a stitch marker, mark the last stitch of row 1. The side with a stitch marker we will not increase. It will always end with a slip stitch, chain 1, turn, half double crochet in the first stitch space then continue pattern [slip stitch on top of hdc, half double crochet on top of sl st]. The side NOT marked with a stitch marker you will increase in the last stitch space making a [slip stitch, half double crochet] to finish one row and chain 1, turn, [half double crochet, slip stitch] in the first stitch space then continue the pattern across the row. [hdc on top of sl st, sl st on top of hdc] I hope this helps.
