Cornwall Storm Walk through the waves

Surprise Sunday September storm!
Saw the weather forecast and was expecting it to be a bit breezy but not really anything like this. Only noticed it was this stormy after I'd gone out in my waterproofs with the dog.
Anyway, I headed home and grabbed my little gimble-cam and put on the waterproof housing. Not sure whether this was quite on high tide but it was reasonably splashy for Penzance Promenade.
Despite having allegedly water proof jacket, trousers and boots I got absolutely soaked filming this. I guess nothing is completely waterproof when you are having literally bucket loads of water thrown at you!
I wouldn't class this as a real storm. It was blowy and splashy, but I didn't have any trouble standing up. Also, the waves weren't accompanied by the booming sound you get on the proper stormy days.

It was getting pretty intense when I was at Long Rock this morning and I intended to go down the Promenade this afternoon, but once I'd lit the woodburner, I was too cosy. Haha. Thanks so much for braving the storm to film this so we didn't have to.

Wow! I didn’t realize this was in colour until I saw the red bus, then your hand, and a green light. Very grey and, as said below, wild. Thank you for braving the ‘storm’ to make this video.
