Violent criminals are extremely stupid with poor impulse control. Often, they are literally mentally debilitated in some way. They do not have the capability to make normal plans to get the things they want. They see something they want, or they covet someone who has more than them, and they can only think one step ahead to resort to force. Why do criminals rob convenience stores and liquor stores so often? Why do they rob their own neighbors in impoverished areas? It's not as if these targets have more cash or less security than other targets. The shop in the ghetto is much more likely to have a gun hidden under the counter and hardly any money. Why do they throw away their lives, and even murder someone, for $30 in a register or wallet? 1) They must have absolutely no value/empathy for others -- otherwise, they wouldn't even risk someone's life by using a weapon to take enough cash to buy a box of beer. 2) They have no imagination to think of other options, so they simply target familiar opportunities that prompt themselves and don't require further planning. They run on essentially base instinct, like a cat pounces on a wiggling piece of string. 3) They lack ability to evaluate risk-to-reward. Every single human, with the strength to hold a gun, has way more lucrative options available to them with lower risk than violent crime.

It's a good idea in theory but it would cost more than anyone would want to spend and it would require someone at the door to monitor, such as law enforcement or security. People would cry about their rights being violated if they were searched... It's a mess.

Would you have multiple armed guards at the entrances, if not do you think unarmed people would stop someone who is armed and determined to enter and kill people within the theater? We need to eliminate gun free zones, they only let criminals know that there aren't any easy victims that are able to defend themselves by shooting back.

These days I stay out of crowds and large, closed in spaces. I lived in Aurora, Co. when that theater shooting took place and my grand daughter was at the Vegas concert when the sniper began his rampage. I figure they are warnings from somewhere hehe.

@@boejiden876 l was thinking tbe same thing - the hehe part is warped - otherwise l agree with avoiding crowds being alert of surroundings listening while somewhere etc... Things are getting koo koo - been staying close 2 home only going 4 supplies - movie nites at home - cooking here - just went 2 drive-in for 1st time in VERY long time but waited til it wasnt brand new on a slow off night...definately keeping low profile too many kooks runnin around better safe than sorry☺👍
