Look at Jim & Liz’s sensitively written, and beautifully acted by Bev & Charlie, scenes here. Why did the writers see fit to make an obscene mockery of this story in recent years with Jim leading Liz to believe Katy was alive. Very poor taste and upsetting for couples who’d been through it for real.
@thebadtemperedbrit
@thebadtemperedbrit 2 жыл бұрын
I don't know the more recent storyline, but it's just desperate writers, trying to come up with new, interesting & supposedly intriguing storylines but that in the end just demean & debase all that has come before. Welcome to modern 'entertainment' & it's only going to get worse, with CRT, #Metoo & ID Politics all staking a claim in the writers room, woke-tastic!!

This is just my point of view. It was such a sad story line losing Katie. I remember watching snippets when I was younger. I wasn't aware of Katie being alive storyline. How long ago was that or how far forward was that to this current time Jan 92.. I may have seen but have forgotten perhaps. My bad. Derek.. omg getting Mavis to do his dirty work with Victor. He is such a pessimistic person. And Mavis is a doormat. I love Alma, but. Let it go Alma you want to be with Mike or you don't and selling the Cafe that won't happen for a wee while and if it did it won't because you want to get away from Baldwin.. It’s not difficult to understand Alma relenting. She loves Mike and sometimes love is not entirely irrational. By the time she finally left him after about six years of marriage the kicks in the guts were quite enough. We can waste years on a person who really isn’t deserving of our love. Then one day, we are finally cured.

I loathe Ken, but he is not in the wrong. Alma and Audrey are totally unreasonable. Tarts.

Are they trying to make Steve look mean and moody when he does that eyebrow/ pouty thing? Sultry? He looks more like he is trying to hold in gas.

I'm annoyed with Jim McDonald over-acting the miscarriage. I have to fast forward thru some bits. In my opinion, he's not a great actor. He has to force anger into every comment, and it comes out all wrong.

Neither of those would have caused early labor. Low birth weight or fetal alcohol syndrome if she was hitting the bottle HARD, maybe but it doesn’t cause labor to start early

@@MissMarie1377 I see so that’s why doctors advise women not to smoke when pregnant, of course the boozing added to it.

Stop blaming. The stress she was under was huge. Steve being a non stop prat. Jim not working then trying to start a business. Working as a barmaid on her feet for hours . Extention tried to be done on the cheap and agro with the neighbours.andy and his side hustles.
