I am in America, but watching on KZbin and Britbox and know the story of Peter Adamson. It is, indeed, sad. He was angry that they chose to have his character go in such a way and blamed producers for trying to turn the audience against him by having his character die in the midst of an affair for Rita to find out. Would have been very nice if things could have turned out differently, especially since Len was the one who got onto Ray for cheating with Janice.
