I’m with you RegressMeNot, it’s a great multi/split view. I also dig the upbeat music at 17:45. You are really stepping up your game Sean. I’ve watched a few vids on P1D’s channel that are really good, but his music is great and it really stands out to me. I also think that most ‘non-fighter jet’ aviation videos are best with 2 pilots interacting with each other and ATC. I hope everyone in the Corporate Pilot Life world is having a great weekend!! Have fun and stay safe.

@Corporate Pilot Life love the camera shots of the Nassau approach too, great visuals there! One thing I noticed is the much higher landing gear noise with this camera setup, other than that it’s really looking good. Hope Sun ‘n Fun was sunny and fun! Great video of a busy day for you guys. Since I don't read all of the comments I have a question that may have been asked and answered before. When the flying pilot calls for a flap setting, the non flying pilot says "speed checks" before saying the setting and actually setting it. Can I assume that the non flying pilot is just confirming that you are not above the max speed for that flap setting?

@Corporate Pilot Life great to see so much of Florida in this video! On the fuel you had on board, did you do a three stage OPF-RSW-NAS-TEB or else you put some fuel in Ft Myers? I am sure you don’t have great restrictions on fuel and maximum landing weight, and you can also carry a lot of fuel like we have in the transatlantic flight, so I am more curious to see if it’s financial gain/loss calculation that made you choose to NOT fill up in Nassau. I am sure Jet fuel is more expensive there than in Florida!
@CorporatePilotLife6 жыл бұрын
Hey Luca! If I remember correctly, we took fuel in TEB to get us to OPF, then took enough to get us all the way back to FRG. OPF has very cheap fuel, so we were able to save some money by tankering. We do burn more fuel when tankering, but it's still financially beneficial when we can save $1.00 per gallon on a 2000 gallon purchase.

Very nice flight as usual from Presidential 69! You guys have made flying an exact science! I have one question which I don't believe has been asked. With respect to flight hours etc. What are the FAA"s regs. regarding how many hours you can fly a month. You just accumulated a substantial number of hours in the video. You guys are great as well as your videos!
@CorporatePilotLife6 жыл бұрын
There is no limit monthly, but we are limited to 500 hours per calendar quarter, 800 hours in 2 consecutive quarters, and 1400 in a year.

Thank you very much! I'm not sure how Jon does his logbook, but I still do paper. I tried to do the digital logbook, but never stuck with it. There's something about writing those numbers in that book that I like. We do share the PIC time. When I fly, I log it, and vice versa. Glad you like the videos!

@eduardoletti55376 жыл бұрын
Hi Guys, nice job on the flying and very interesting videos of the operation. I'm a Boeing (BBJ guy and have a question which is probably stupid: I noticed that the Pilot Monitoring (PM) always handles the altitude window on the Mode Control Panel (MCP). However, when the Pilot Flying (PF) is on the right seat this creates the potential situation of crossing hands during radar vectoring to meet heading assignments. Wouldn't it be easier to just let the PF handle the MCP, with confirmation of the HDG and ALT by the PM? Thanks for posting the videos as they are very informative. Safe flying!
@CorporatePilotLife6 жыл бұрын
You are exactly correct that in that situation, we sometimes have a "crossing arms" issue, but for us, it's just easier to deal with that and always know that whoever is on the radio is the one who sets the altitude pre-select and the PF verifies it. We've always operated with the mentality that whoever is "flying the plane" has the MCP, which we actually call the Flight Guidance Panel on the Gulfstream. Not that it really matters on the terminology. I appreciate your input, and we will definitely talk about if we want to make some changes in that respect.

@thegeekyouseek82296 жыл бұрын
Yes of course, you don't get to choose. Private Sky is nice, but check their fuel prices compared to FMY (Page Field) and you'll see what I mean. And the FBO at FMY is even newer than Private Sky. Also with a nice little aviation museum. I used to work at RSW and ALL the corporate pilots hated it compared to the FMY FBO.

Excellent video. I enjoy them all. Quick question though when you say you have "information bravo" for example what does that refer to?
@madmatts90106 жыл бұрын
Gaz Graham that refers to the current atis (Automatic terminal information service) at the airport they are flying to. This gives the barometric pressure, temperature and wind speed along with any other important information and when it updates , say should the wind speed or temperature changes it moves to the next letter, so in this instance would move to information charlie. It’s vitally important pilots have the current information
