I am not a pilot however love to watch videos of pilots flying from the cockpit. Not just jets rather all aircraft. In all the videos I have viewed on flying, beyond a question of doubt, you “ARE THE ONLY PILOT” that has made me feel as if I was there with you, even more your ability to simplify what to me was completely unfamiliar (cockpit application) is a true blessing. Your calm reassurance behind the stick, your extraordinary skills handling the aircraft, and your humbleness in presentation is a “God Given Gift”!!! Please, Please, Please, do not let the mouth of an entitled, narcissistic, wet behind the ears child disturb or cause any second doubts in your gift to fans. Men of Honor is what this WORLD is desperately calling out for. Imagine the parenting this child has been given. You quite possibly have taught this man a more valuable life lesson than all he has learned in his short life. Premier 1 Driver, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for selflessly sharing your world with us!!!

@rayjos04244 жыл бұрын
Just coming from the glass, not a real rainbow!
@RobJPhillips4 жыл бұрын
Raymond O'Sullivan Not that is very important :) however, I respectfully disagree. Having viewed many of the other P1D videos, I’ve never seen that rainbow in that shot. Which he uses in pretty much all of recent vids. Also that side is away from the sun which would be required if the effect were caused by the glass. Lastly you can see it come into and go out of view as the aircraft passes the cloud below and left. It’s also circular which is a feature of real rainbows if you have the vantage point to see it. Having flown in early morning IMC I have seen a few. Ugh. I can’t believe I’m defending seeing a rainbow. Hahaha. Of course I could be wrong.
@rayjos04244 жыл бұрын
It's a combination of the coating on the lens and any coating on the glass. Tyne light bus it right and it creates a rainbow effect.

@carlosgarcia33414 жыл бұрын
@@gregmink no, not a kind, but SUCH a kind ;-) English is not my first language so I couldn't think of an abundance of adjectives other than kind, generous, etc. But perhaps there is one to define the act of taking a risk for someone else's sake when you can just give an excuse. Good judgement probably did its job also. Nothing, I just respect you a little more after watching that video.

I had the opportunity to take ground school in high school in the late 70's. I had a retired AF Colonel pilot as a teacher who taught us and was the flight instructor for a flying club not tied to the school who spent his Summer's teaching us to fly. The club had a Cessna 172 and a Cessna 150. I liked Aviation but my body did not, I suffered with flight sickness. I also did not have "perfect vision" and am very near sighted something that was very prohibitive to becoming a professional pilot. I did solo and did my cross country flights, the reality was I needed to pursue something else to do for a living. I still remember the thrill of cross wind landings crabbing the final until I could dip the wing and apply opposite rudder. I still cherish the experience of learning to fly and all it taught me the navigation skills, weather observation, just an overall enhanced life experience. I am really impressed by the all enhancement in avionics a long ways from the dead reckoning skills I learned. Greg thank for sharing your flights with us. For me it brings back memories of a past chapter in life although flying a Premier is way better and different experience than flying a Cessna 150, synthetic vision how cool is that!

Kudo, Greg, for letting your nephew handfly it. Reminded me of my first jet flight, back in '72 - a Paris Jet (MS-760), VFR Oxnard to Long Beach. About ten minutes before I got off work in the tower and he taxi's... asks if anyone wants to ride down to LGB and back. "I'll meet you at the base of the tower," I reply. As I walk out to the plane and climb in, I ask myself... "What's the best way to say... I WANT TO FLY IT?!?!?!" Fortunately the pilot (Terry Cedar, then owner of Santa Barbara Aviation) broke the ice when he asked if I was a pilot. That was the last time he touched the controls... "Rotate at 110 and climb at 200," he said, "CLIMB AT 200?!?! I've hardly flown anything that'll DO 200, let alone CLIMB at 200!!! I went down at eleven, did a couple rolls over Point Dume (not a bad aerobatic plane)... over the top of the LAX TCA, and then rapid descent into LBG. 120 knots into the flare, and we were on the ground. I was hooked!! Remind me to tell you about a plane my Dad and I owned for a short time - N7927M, a Baron 56TC (serial # TG-2). With a pair of Lyc TIO-541's hanging on the wings... you DID NOT want to watch the fuel flows, but oh boy... what a rocketship!!! Fly safe, buddy.

No need for autopilot when you have your Nephew along for the ride😉 I noticed the seats facing to the rear of the plane. I flew facing the rear of the plane for my first and only time flying that way on a Southwest airlines 737, on a flight from Los Angeles to Phoenix back in 1986, sitting across from a friend, I think it was a setup at an emergency exit window. That was a very weird feeling sitting that way especially on takeoff, the view in your cabin brought back memories lol😉 Great Flight, I enjoyed it very much👍🙂
