The reason why it's binding also, if I may add some technical explanation, is that when your wheel is steering all the way out (so when the tie rod is pulled all the way into the rack) the tie rod line starts to line up with the balljoint, which means that when you want to steer back and essentially push the tie rod back out towards the balljoint, it doesn't have any leverage. The most extreme scenario is if the tie rod perfectly line up with the knuckle and balljoint, and there is actually no leverage. In this case the steering on that wheel can hypothetically get "dislocated" and inverse on itself. Also, another side effect that might be worth noting about pushing the rack forward, is that you also start removing ackerman from the steering. And if you go too far you actually get anti ackerman.

eh dude for the top rad support after its all painted put down some clear vynal to prevent scratching where its metal on metal where the bolts go in, should help protect the paint a bit better

If that's the place, now I know who to ask for if I need anything in the future... Are they mostly motors and trannies or do they sometimes have other stuff as well?

It is indeed near the airport! They've got a bunch of stuff there, mostly engines and transmissions, but plenty of odds and ends. James would be the guy to ask, he keeps inventory

Technically this does not adjust caster. Caster adjustment have to do with lower control arm to upper pivot point (in this case, coil over upper ball joint) This rack relocation is purely for angle and steering geometry correction
