Thanks for sharing. Honest and real to the point common troubleshootings sharing of the car. I drive like 3 years mine and also service myselves. Cause it feels better and I am having fun doing it. (Oil and almost all filters) And last but not least: saves a lot of money..

Good luck with finding a good one definitely the most popular first car. Dont buy a 1l useless engine get a 1.2 or 1.4 check insurance on both the 1.4 might be the Same price to insure as the 1.2 try and get a Sri or limited edition.

I have one for 3 years now. Make sure the alternator bearings is working properly : lever it with a screwdriver and if it have a play it’s almost dead. I also had all of the issues mentioned in this video but as he said, their very easy to fix. However, the cables connected to the blower resistor tends to oxyde. If it’s the case, don’t hesitate to cut the wires and replace them to avoid bad connections problems. If the connector is melted (common to), open it, clean it and put the new cable in. Pretty easy to do with pliers. In most cases, it’s just one cable separated from the other

If you get smell of petrol inside the car, especially when driving and there are no visual leaks from the fuel system its most likely the petrol cap needs replacing. Plus the interior air vent slats, there is a small metal wire behind that keeps the slats aligned which falls off.

Thanks for this video. The engine you show seems from an old or not so often repaired car, or from youngster driving to much or from someone driving in bad condition (raid, salt, dirt) all the time. Noone of those apply to me, i server mine yearly, drive only 4000km a year (it's a fun vehicle and travel vehicle, it's not a shopping car unless it's to big to cycle it from shop), since i dont have the downside of buying a low mileage car to in 4 years already 'loose the low mileage', i prefer ultra low mileage since often those are pristine, and with my driving style it remains pristine. Sadly cause of a series of unlucky event (all not my fault) i had to quickly buy a car, and best one i could find, was a mistake, the sales person doenst honour warranty and the BCM is broken, trying to do a low effort lawsuit to force him to repair it, the issue is been known since sale, then it was something small but couldnt be fixed, now escalated and my other service point (much better service), pointed to this, and i believe them. Thinking of buying another Corsa D (super low mileage, 1.2 (love that one by far the most) and good features and colour (enough choice). Maybe Corsa E if i'm convinced it's actually better. Maybe Toyota yaris for trustworthyness but sadly the supply of them (2010 model) is insanely low (and priced over valued).

Great video, bought and sold 7 or 8 of these Corsas. Only thing I would add is watch the subframe for rust. Especially if you live somewhere they put a lot of salt on the road. Replaced the subframe on two that I bought. Easy to change over about 2 hours and about £100 for a good used one.

@MirkoM2425 Жыл бұрын
I can confirm both issues. The glove box broke as a pen was stuck in the opening when closing the glove box, and it broke super easy. Also the cabin blower resistor went out and the air only blew on max speed. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're changing the resistor please use the OEM part which is the A.430.009.00 resistor, if you use anything else the AC compressor won't start unless the speed is 5,6 or 7 (on automatic climate controls) If the blower speed is below 5 the compressor won't turn on. I have this issue as I changed the resistor with a wrong one. If you cant buy the resistor the DENSO DEA20012 blower comes with it.

@1:46 That is why you shouldn't buy non-enthusiast grade Corsa Ds. It could have been used and abused by a young whippersnapper but the fact that it is more expensive to own and not preferred by non car guys makes them a great option.

good video i bought a corsa d 1.3 cdti 09 reg but misfires and juddering at low speeds

Most likely to be a sensor or clutch. A Cdti should not misfire due to it being a diesel and it has no spark.

Hi. I don't know if I'm late but I drive a remapped 1.3CDTI and had similar problems. Your EGR valve and MAP sensor maybe cloging up. Also check to see if you have a leaking injector seal. The best thing to do is obviously get your garage to fix the problems and then do regular Italian tune-ups and by that I mean once a week drive down a fast road for 20 mins in 3rd gear between 4,000 and 5,000 revs. Don't be affraid to rev it that high. If you keep the revs beyond 4,000 the EGR and exhaust system will get red hot and burn out any crud. I Hope this helps.

like any car look at the service history and previous owners. a well served car will last for a long time a car that's not been cared for will have more problems in the future. that's good milage for its age so if everything is OK it should be a good car.

You know how much trouble are all used GM vehicles made after 2003.. There is no other vehicle in the world which is worse, not even chrysler fiat... Just watch scottie kilmer number one mechanic on KZbin.. GM is officially numero uno the worse manufacturer of the vehicles in the World.. And repairing cars in UK is expensive, unless you have your own garage and own tools but most of us don't have that.
