When I bought my K70 back in the day, I was shocked about the miserabe poor quality of the keycaps. Super thin, translucent abs keycaps, painted black with laser engraved letters, it doesn't get any worse. These started to shine after about 2 weeks of use. It's nice to see that doubleshot pbts are going to be a thing in mainstream keyboards. But considering the price of Corsair keyboards, these keycaps should be standard on all 100€+ boards.

I dont think the K70 are the worst shit but they are mediocre ABS ones. Yeah, maybe their 100+€ keyboards could start having double shot pbt. Go to Vortex Pok3r for that. They range from 100-175€ roughly and they have double shot pbt key caps.

@@regardie99 They are already totally overpriced compared to reasonable custom kits and other brands. Corsair basically jsut plays people that don't know better (yet). I have also learned my lessons the hard was; I had similar gaming brands (Roccat Vulcan, Razer Blackwidow, HyperX Alloy Elite) but they are basically all mediocre keyboards with sub-par switches, bad keycaps (with silly fonts) and awful software - for twice the price. That being said, I appreciate the volume wheels, they are really a great thing custom kits are usually missing. If you are willing to go into the 130-200 € range for Corsair anyways your are much better off buying something special like a Wooting One, Two or Lekker (ultra smooth linears with adjustable activation points and great software) or getting some GMMK (or other hotswap kit), some nice switches (last build I finished was with Kailh Box Jade ... now THAT'S a switch) and some Tai-Hao-PBTs (which are awesome bang for the buck).

Im using a K70 LUX. This is the very first Corsair keyboard I used. Before this, I was using the old Razer Blackwidow that my wife now is using. After a few weeks of using the K70 LUX, the keycap started flying and popping out of the keyboard like crazy! Found out that the cross that connects to the switch easily breaks and I have to use super glue to fix the broken plastic. In one year more than 10 keycaps have broken. For the price of the keyboard, it should've had better quality. My old razer blackwidow (now my wife's) matte paint has now become glossy but is still working perfectly.

Have this problem too and Corsair said it's from "wear and tear". My keyboard is literally 1 month out of warranty and I found out 18 keys have broken plastic connectors (+), when I use my keyboard in a normal way. Hell, my Logitech G15 was half te price and lasted me 10 years.

Now just replace your terrible stock stabilizers with clipped Cherry stabilizers or Costar stabilizers and you'll have a good keyboard. My K70 LUX had the absolute worst feeling space bar I've ever used on any keyboard. Until then, I'm sticking with Ducky keyboards that already come with double shot PBT keycaps, standard size bottom row, detachable cable, RGB lighting, more MX switches available, much better stabilizers and still cheaper than a K70.

Yep, I bought a K70 LUX with MX Blues and I replaced it multiple times due to the spacebar feeling flimsy and cheap. I never did get one I was happy with. It's really noticeable when you've used a mechanical keyboard with clipped Cherry stabilizers or Costar stabilizers. I won't be buying another Corsair keyboard until they change that.

I own a few Corsair products and while I disagree with some marketing practices I gotta admit this keycaps set might've saved me. Finding PBT keycaps in my country's unique layout was a headache (french AZERTY), ultimately 3 brands made them including yours which I ordered yesterday and will get to try out tomorrow for my first custom build on Kailh Copper switches and a TKL board.

how do these compare to the Vortex PBT? I have both white and black and love them! They even come with a 6.5 bar. Its a we bit too late i suppose but for new people looking id definitely look into these. The Vortex set is hard to find and I got lucky finding both black and white variants if you can fnd them they'er 100% worth it. Mechanical keyboards has the white set in stock! what a surprise!

Bought their K75 Cherry Red.. had keys flying off on the first day. And within 6 months I broke my Ctrl key because the bottom part snapped off. Quite frankly, for the money that you pay for this, this is absolutely insane. These keys are another 50 fucking bucks.

I bought PBT DOUBLE-SHOT PRO Keycap Mod Kit - Onyx Black (NA) and is really cheap, wrong plastic, too hard plastic, the 2 kits i received with R MA, is all broken in white cross under caps after fews minutes and next days after used keycaps or not 60% thru 90% of all caps broken in same place around the cross horizontally near Cherry MX pin cross. The change design, less white plastic and more hard plastic, not flexible plastic like my original Keyboard i still haved my keycap after 12 years, LOL, and now just good for 1 or fews days! Cheap hard plastic now! and payed 60$ plus TX and shipping!

@@AkiraSendoh7 How do blues cause headaches? I type 130 WPM on blues and NEVER bottom them out. You'd have to be a shit typer to be bottoming them out every keystroke. They literally help you type if anything because of the feedback you know exactly how much force for each key.

On my 4th keycap with the K70 LUX RGB I paid $165 for!!! So basically they saw the flaw that anyone who pulls the keycap off can see on standard and said hey instead of standing behind what we do like we used to lets charge $50 for the "fix." Wonder if these would even be any better they do look thicker but Jesus enforce the thinner spots not hard to see.... shouldn't these be standard if the product you already charge a premium for has an obvious flaw?

Seriously 50$USD // 60$CAD for stupid plastic caps?! I bet it cost them 5$ to do at most. I bought a Corsair K70 with red blacklight for 55$CAD in perfect condition for my employee few days ago so yes... the WHOLE keyboard for cheaper than this lego set. As for me I have the K70 RGB which was already at a crazy high price, double the one of the K70 in store and I doubt RGB lightning for them makes the whole keyboard cost to be 2x higher, so at 200$+ they could already include quality PBT keys, I shouldn't have to spend an extra 60$ after already having spent 200$+ Also what's the point of still making Cherry Red/RGB keys when you can make them all silent too at the same price?!
