I think the launch control on those things is a bit wonky - I've heard that complaint before, and the guy was complaining about it here. The car doesn't go right when you lift off the brake so its hard to time right.

I'm going to say, that as a kid looking at cars back in the 70's, I loved both the Corvette and the TR7. Then I grew up. I can't tell you exactly why but just couldn't see myself in anything but a Mustang. I bought my first sports car - a 2024 Mustang Dark Horse. But that Z06 is beautiful.

(when was the last time, the 60's?) I say, good on GM for proving that US cars CAN compete with the likes of ferrari on a road that features turns (aka, real racing). Besides, if what you are looking for is just as fast as possible in a short, straight line, none of the muscle cars can compete there either. Instead, they get absolutely TOASTED by 4 door sedans. And 26 hp increase would be considered a significant increase with N/A cars and the only reason it's untunable is because it's brand spanking new and companies need time to make the parts to increase the power. And I'm sure you love the S550 and so do I but don't get mad at it's replacement for no reason because you want the s550 back or something.

B the zo6 is a track oriented car so after your roll race are you gonna race the race that car is meant for I.e. going around a track. I mean it’s all good but don’t be jelly. The fact is you still have to bring a modded car to beat a stock car. There isn’t a stock mustang that is n/a that can compete with the z06! Plain and simple

Yes I have mods but so does he I dnt care if it's factory modded. I still have more weight and less hp. Either chevy lying about hp or they lying about times but I can promise you I dnt make 670hp and can run 10.7s in the street but that ZO6 need a professional driver at a sticky track to accomplish 10.5. Just like the dude in this video he is just a KZbinr not a professional driver. No way ill let a 5k lb 700hp truck get close to me. Next i dnt do circle track and never will so. He can have that hands down. I been drag racing mustangs 27 years. I been eating GM for 27 years. Started with a 93 mustang cobra which I still own today.

Darkhose Def not stock, running drag radials and clearly has a lot of other modifications done to it. So how do I know this? A stock darkhose runs the 1/4 in 12 seconds A stock c8 zo6 has been recorded running 1/4 in 10.8, 10.5, 10.4 depending on the conditions and who was driving it You can go to any number of professionally run KZbin channels and watch the dark horse. Run a quarter mile and watch a c806 from the quarter mile by actual professionals who can put on decent production and know how to drive. I see zero watchable value in a low production channel that can't even reserve an airstrip or a private road or a racetrack and doesn't announce the modifications to the vehicles that they're running Another words these guys are out here doing this on City Street which is not only reckless but dangerous and the recording it and uploading it... Last time I'll be watching this channel came up in recommendations. Thought I'd give it a try but it's clearly heavily biased

Where are they ? I like the spec of Z06 but I would have not gotten the wing . For street racing a low spec E-ray with some black accents is IMO the Corvette to buy if your about being a stoplight warrior and want reliable transportation and looking wild for Value ........ if you can find one. It figures GM makes a csr everybody wants and first iteration releases same time as the release as covid making them impossible to get and Chevy loosing massive amounts of production time they can never recover and now they have more cars in line up and can't keep up with supply which I'm not exactly sure why it's an issue now . They have so few products people want . Does it have to do with total amounts of cars they sell and avg MPGs they can't give them to people who want them . Seems like a lot of needed profit left on table . When C8 was coming and before covid I thought there would be Corvettes everywhere at that price. Either way or from base C8 up through the range GM pulls of a miracle nobody expected and was like a gift to people who never expected to own a mid engined high performance car that gives you a fair amount of the good side of exotic experience and reduces a fair amount of the negative many people can't absorb and then right when you think, too good to be true , the rug gets pulled . Truly one of the biggest triumphs but turned into one of the biggest bummer. Feel bad for Corveete engineers who would have been even bigger hero superstars had real people been able to buy them as that was supposedly the goal and ethos of the design and project. Corvette always having that aspect but C8 FULLY DELIVERING as the ultimate bang for buck all the way around when you figured the value proposition its as close as perfection as you get particularly when you add I functioning well as transportation for the type of car . A real bummer it turned into .
