Thanks for watching/clicking on my video on what I paid for the month on February 2024 in Calgary Alberta! This is my own living expenses for this month. Please keep in mind that this is based by my personal experience and prices/your own spending/budgeting will look completely different than mine! Monthly expenses vary every month anyways! Thought I would just share what I have spent throughout the month so you have an idea if you wanted to relocate here! :)
Please support my channel by giving the video a like and subscribing to the channel! Donations via PayPal and buying me a coffee are also very appreciated ❤️Links below!
Thank you so much

Hey, your videos really nice and helpful. I plan on relocating to the city in July from Ontario. When do you think would be the best time to start looking for places? and what other sites do you recommend to find places? so far I've been briefly looking on rent faster and kijiji. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks :)
@patricialing
@patricialing 4 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and for your continued support :) I would start looking in April/May for July. I find a lot of people are looking for that month to move so the sooner the better, I would also check out Facebook market place to see what they also have to offer but be aware of scams and dont send a deposit. I would say that and rent faster is the best! It also depends what you are looking for, if its a room or a 1++ bed bath. There is also rental groups on Facebook that you can join " Calgary Room and rentals etc.. " :)

Just wondering, was it more or less difficult to find a job in Calgary from Ontario? I'm guessing by your demeanor that you have a desk job/white collar? I'm looking for a data analyst job, and it seems every 5th job is still oil & gas related.
@patricialing
@patricialing 4 ай бұрын
I work in health care so to be honest its really in demand so it was easier for me to find a job during these times. With tech related positions I find its harder to find work for some. If you were interested in the oil and gas field there are positions. Im not 100% sure I just go based by what others tell me but I would keep looking :) There are other options if you wanted to get something else or explore a different career but I dont know if the salary will be to your liking.

In my experience lots of people start out in oil & gas to get experience then get into a field they like.

I am unsure as I do not have children. My colleague mentioned to me previously that they pay around $1,400-$2,000 a month for childcare. This was about 1.5 years ago.

lol its funny you think you are frugal. paying $450 on car payments lol your car alone cost over $800 a month.
@patricialing
@patricialing 3 ай бұрын
Most car PAYMENTS now are around $600-$ 800 +, in general other expenses I usually tend to spend less on certain things than others and are more mindful of what I am spending my money on. I use my car everyday, as mentioned in the video we all spend our money differently and it may seem like I spend more or less than yourself or others. I choose to spend money on a vehicle for reliability and personal factors. Ive been called cheap previously lol. I appreciate you sharing your opinion but everyones definition of frugal would be considered different as well.
