Great video and very informative. Up until about two years ago I had never heard of Montenegro but then saw a years old YT video and couldn’t believe my eyes. It truly looked like heaven on earth with the stunning lakes, mountains and small towns. Finding recent videos on Montenegro is also a challenge so I really appreciate y’all for sharing!

Thank you so much for watching our videos! I completely agree that Montenegro is a stunning little country. It is one of the most visually beautiful places we have been so far. Thank you for the kind words. We also made a video all about Kotor if you’d like to check it out. There is a bit more information in that video. ❤️ Jason and Melissa

You two are wonderful to watch! I feel like I would really enjoy sharing a cocktail with you. I just discovered Albania yesterday and your channel is amazingly informative. My wife is on board too. One question though, from San Francisco, what would be your recommendation for a flight destination if Siranda is our final destination? Thanks and keep up the good stuff, I joined your Instagram.

Thank you so much for the kind words and who knows, maybe our paths will cross one day and we can have that drink together! So going to Saranda you have 2 good options. First you can simply fly into Tirana which is the capital of Albania and then catch a 4.5 hour bud ride to Saranda or you can fly directly into Corfu, Greece and then take the 30-40 minute ferry trip to Saranda. As you start planning, reach out and I can assist you a bit more. Thanks for following us on instagram. Send me a message to say hi! ❤️ Jason and Melissa

Any mention of the fantastic fruti and veg market outside the main gates. By the way i believe its pronounced (Cot tor). Great video
@JasonandMelissaTravel3 ай бұрын
We always try to do our best with pronunciation. Sometimes it just doesn’t come out correctly. 😝 There is a fruit and veggie market just outside the main gate. However, it was only a couple of vendors when we were there. I don’t think we hit it in season. Thank you for watching our video. 🍻

Thank you for making this video.. Can you please help. Is there a bus from tivat airport to Prcanj?
@JasonandMelissaTravel4 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching our video. I’m not sure about the bus schedule between those two cities. You might want to check Flix Bus or Rome 2 Rio to see if a bus goes to that city.

A few questions from a US citizen planning to visit for one month to see if its a place Id want to live oermanently - regular passport is all thats needed, correct? Would it be ideal to get a EU drivers lucense in advance and then rent a car? Any gyms nearby? Also, (random) can you buy and sell gold and silver anywhere nearby? Thanks for the help!
@JasonandMelissaTravel2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching our video! You only need a U.S. passport for entry. No Visa required. I’m not sure about the answers to your other questions. Google might be the place to find a few answers. Good luck in your travels. ❤️ Jason and Melissa

Hi, pls do share your airbnb link
@JasonandMelissaTravel3 ай бұрын
Here is the link. We typically do not share the link unless we highly recommend the accommodation. We liked this stay but didn’t love it. Here is why: the internet went out often and was told it does this when it rains. This made it difficult to work from home. The kitchen was VERY limited on equipment, dishes, and pans. The bed in the bedroom was in a very narrow space and because of this one person needed to crawl across the bed and the other person to enter/exit the bed or both people had to get up. Other than the things I mentioned it was ok. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching our video! www.airbnb.com/slink/VVKUByk6

I live in Montenegro, 300 meters from one of the big, new luxury resort marinas. I've been to 40+ countries, Central America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia. This country fits my personality best. Electricity 24-45 euro, T-mobile wifi internet, tv, phone, 35euro, water 7euro, monthly costs. We have five cats inside, two outside. All fixed.
@JasonandMelissaTravel5 ай бұрын
We are searching out the same thing you have already found! We loved the affordability of Kotor. We also loved all the cats for sure. If you haven’t already, check out our video on Kotor. We actually have a cool segment dedicated to the cats. Thanks for watching. 🙏

Something to consider about Kotor, lots of rain during winter months. So, living there, all year long, maybe, challenging for some people. We live near Herceg-Novi, when we have sun here, looking towards the mountain range, nothing but dark clouds in direction of Kotor.

Great video. Did you find there was enough English speakers in the area for you to get by?
@JasonandMelissaTravel5 ай бұрын
Thank you so much. Yes. Most of the people at the restaurants spoke enough English for us to communicate. However, not so much at the grocery stores. We needed to rely on Google Translate for those instances. Overall though, it was fairly easy to talk with people. Thanks again for watching our video!

How expensive is a dinner out, say at the pizza place?
@JasonandMelissaTravel5 ай бұрын
Dinner for two with pizza, wine, and an appetizer was around $30 US. Please keep in mind that we ordered the larger pizza and it fed us 3 times. So a pretty fair value. The pasta place La Catedral would be around $35-40 US for appetizer, 2 pasta dishes and a bottle of wine. We also each had leftover pasta to take home. Hope this helps! If you have any other questions please let me know. Thank you for watching!
