If you're looking at renting in Lincoln Park, and you really want to have some discretionary income to enjoy the area, you should be making about $70k a year minimum. If you're not making that, it might be better for you to look at somewhere like Lincoln Square or Andersonville, then take the train into Lincoln Park to hang out.
