Congratulations for you and Fabio for been mortgage free, now invest wisely for later in life. I haven seen great investments opportunities in Portugal, in the banking system or the stock market like dividends stocks. But that does mean you cant invest some were else good luck too you. Cheer from Niagara Region On. Canada we are returning to our Portugal home soon.

Where are you in Portugal? What is the percent is Property Tax?

We are in Setubal council. The tax depends on the council, but it's between 0.3-0.45% of the house valuation! Not the market price.

It's added to everyone's electricity bill, for us it says it's about 2-3 euros a month.
