I got to live in Budapest for three months (2016). 600. Eu for everything (including internet) but food and wine. A bottle of wine was $1.70 A good bottle of wine was $3.00. A good meal at a restaurant (for 2) was about $20. I was within a block of a subway but could walk to the Central Market. Incredibly good fresh foods (protein and Veg) for prices so low, I'm ashamed that I didn't overpay. Every Saturday I could see a live concert at a 100 seat room at the Liszt house for $1.80 per seat. The day after I returned to the states, I had a burger and a beer at a local chain restaurant and paid more than I paid for the most extravagant dinner I had in Zagreb.

It really depends of what will you do, where will you sleep, eat etc. You can easily exceed your planned budget. Coming to Kiev I tought I would spend less than I spent. If you want to live "western style" in Kiev you should have similiar amount of money like visiting Berlin or so.

how to pay 540 usd for apartment when the minimum wage is not even 145 usd. and i have heard more than 50 percent in ukraine earn just the minimum salery. even 728 usd minus 540 when you dont need to rent an apartment is more than the minimum wage. poroshenko every day talk about raising the minimum wage to over 4200 grivna per month this year. thats 160 usd. and you will see it will not happen this year. it will stay at 3700 or 3800 grivna.

MrBummy because I am talking about the case when you are renting apartment as a tourist and pay per day. Ukrainian are renting apartment for long term, so it's much cheaper + a lot of people live in their own houses, so you can exclude 540$ at all.

Don’t forget that most Ukrainians don’t pay mortgage, their apartments are from the Soviet time were given them for free and passed to the next generation.
@telsys
@telsys 6 жыл бұрын
@@tanyanest348 apartments were only technically free, but in fact not. You had to work for a certain factory for 10-20 yrs to receive a low-quality apartment. A lot of people never got one so they had to live in huts or in barracks-type housing their entire lives. Moreover, salaries in USSR were very low: employees were extremely underpaid which provided government the funds to build apartment buildings. Nothing comes for free.

In Kherson, the Imperial hotel is great. And there’s a bar that’s open late in the center, it’s called Beer Bar, everything closes early in Kherson and most of the girls have husbands because it’s a small town. All there is to do there is go to “Fabrica” or “Beer Bar” or the awesome Ukrainian restaurant just across the river. Also there’s a really good sushi restaurant in Kherson and one of the best ice hockey arenas in the country.

For example 1 Us dollar=38 hervinas in Ukraine, so 10 US dollars=380 hervinas, 100 Us dollars=3,800.00 hervinas. And i remember seeing your newer video saying your parents only get 50 us dollars a month in pension which should = 1900 hervinas..... Is my calculations correct???

Spam Sandwich you have no idea what you are talking about, all the girls in Ukraine are quality.. I remember once walking a block and a half and counting 17 girls that looked like supermodels.. my apartment in Odessa was only $400 a month and in the best area.. in Kiev I rented an apartment several times for a weekend and it was only about $30 a night and it was in the main part of center Kiev. If you go for longer than a week or two don’t use air bnb, look up some rental agencies.. food is way cheap, don’t go to night clubs, just meet real girls as you would any where else

Westerner pricing! ( USA "TAX" ) In 2018 I spent 2 weeks in Kyiv and 2 weeks in Odesa and if you include round trip airfare it was NOT 2300+ us dollars. 827$ for round trip air. Never use air B&B in eastern Europe or S.E. Asia. Much too expensive. For those prices, just visit NYC for a week and go to Brighton Beach:-)

I don’t know where are you getting your figures , I have been living in Kiyiv for a little more than one year now and it was very hard to find an apartment for less than $800.00 a months . Actually there are few things here ,specially some type of food , are more expensive than the US , for example ; good cheese and sea food and forget about clothes which are way much more than the US . Also 20% sales tax on everything including food , just take a look at the receipt when buying groceries at any supermarket . Eating out is cheap only if you go to similar places like Pozata Hata but to dine in an upscale restaurant is online with good US restaurants or more. I am not a night club person but from what I know from people who frequent such places , expect to pay more than $100.00 per visit .

All the Horney Dudes now Planning a Trip. Compare to the Salary it is too Expensive. Many Live with Family or share Apartments because of the High Costs. Tourists drive the Prices up even more. Just like in America. For example Real-estate is sky high in cali and some other States and people move to other States but with buying and Paying high and higher prices it drives the prices more and more up in those States but NOT the Wages. Result is that the people struggle and can not afford the high Prices. I am talking about 5-6 times higher and more.

ArLo W you pay and the doctors might help you, and they’ll ask you why you stepped into a pothole.. and they’ll look at you as if your an idiot.. they will help you but you’ll have to pay first, and it will seem a little ghetto but everything will be ok, especially if you’re with a local.
