We have a 20 year old Meyer lemon and tangerine tree. Lemon is very good but tangerine not so much. We planted them in a 2.5x2.5x3ft planter on casters. That way we can roll them into the garage in freezing temps. We got about 50 softball size lemons this year at Christmas. We are also in zone8. They smell so good.

This will be my 3rd spring with elephant ears and I’ve never dug them up. I started with about 9 bulbs and have over 30 from those original bulbs. I do heavily mulch them when we have hard freezes. I don’t have a lot of shade so mine get pretty scorched when we hit high temps. Shade and water makes a big difference. Love your shopping videos. I just happened to see bulbs at Home Depot and Walmart so of course I had to get some. I might try a different variety of elephant ears for some big pots I have.

on your meyers lemon, they are actually best grown as a shrub rather than a tree. I'm in Houston zone 9. I've had a meyers in a large, I'm guessing 22 in wide and deep container for many years. It got down to 18 degrees so enough kill a citrus. I've used the old non led large xmas lights strung through the tree and especially near the root system. That way if the tips get nipped the root system survives. I've also added a heat lamp to the lower part as heat rises. Finally I've double wrapped it, including the container (all the way to the ground) in frost cloth. That's my cold snap process. Here in my area citrus appreciates some shade from hot summer west sun so it gets relief with morning sun and filtered afternoon sun. I've never moved it. I had it placed on a large stone. I recently noticed 1 large root that managed to make its way along the stone and root itself into ground! I was amazed😊 This shrub is only 3 ft tall above the pot but has provided me with more juicy lemons than I could use. Hope this helps. It's a great shrub/tree.

Liatris hands down is the best flower❤❤ It's my favorite they are Are prolific growers and the polyneders go insane for them. They produce a ton of seed so if you want to grow more of them And if you don't want to deal with the seed , the birds love them in the fall So you can just leave them and feed the wild life. And they multiply under the ground also. Getting 80 for 14 bucks is a steal. You get ten for 5 dollars at your other big box stores

It costco has up their game year after year. The last two years there bulb and tuber selection has been fantastic. I love so many of the things that you pointed out like them actually putting the variety. So that you could look up information about them. There is only one drawback and that is everybody should stay away from the dalias. These are all imports You'll get tons of broken necks and poor quality plus your chance of them having gall is very high Because of the way they are processed , there is no way for them to plant as they are coming out of the ground. Gal is very contagious and contaminates your ground
